Arsenal had to line it up with Jakub Kiwior’s departure for Porto. Hincapie would only be signed if Kiwior left — and Kiwior would only be permitted to leave if Hincapie was secured. At one stage, Arsenal hoped to simplify matters by offering Kiwior to Leverkusen, but they were not interested. So Arsenal carried out the two negotiations in parallel.

Scouts have never really rated Kiwior.

From where do you know that scouts never really rated Kiwior? Obviously the Porto one does. And if the reports are right other clubs wanted Kiwior.

Another one of those claims with no real substance behind it

Leverkusen turning him down. No real demand. Such a low offer from Porto.

No he doesn't. Kiwior is 25 years old and a Polish International. He is not 30+ years old. Do you think if scouts rated him, Porto would have paid just €19m for him?

We paid €52m for Hincapie. Essentially to do the same thing as Kiwior. You explain the difference gt.

Kiwior isn't even on high wages

Do you have noticed that abroad these top sells are rare? You are just blind of these silly money deals within the PL.

The bigger clubs in Europe still pay good prices for top players. Just think about it. He is not going to Germany, Italy or Spain.

I give up. It's all said and done.

Manuel Akanji (30) moved for almost the same price, €16m to Inter Milan! Kiwior is just coming into his prime at 25!

We definitely are but we are still haunted by the fact a lot of these players are not very good but on high wages. Even Del Boy couldn't shift many of these.

Would like to hope its a new dawn now but could see players like Merino, Trossard, Madueke being exactly the same next summer

Kiwior isn't on a high wage though

And he's the one we actually did OK on. Not exactly a superstar though is he, hence him ending up at Porto

So Berta who has a load of experience selling players at Atlético is also chit at selling?

Who has been a success of all Edu's development projects? Sambi, Taveres, Kiwior, Tomiyasu, and even the highest hope for, Martinelli?
