We've criticised arteta in the past for crap subs, but now he's got a squad, we're seeing subs change games regularly now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On the flip side are we seeing him make poor starting XI choices as a result?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That has been the case, but at least he’s open to change sooner now. Too often in the past he’s left the players on when change was required.
But guys like Trossard, Martinelli and Merino are definitely more suited to coming of the bench as opposed to starting.

He's got to be perfect every decision
The handbrake was off today. That is the difference. Arteta was brave. We played on the front foot from the beginning. That was by far the best away performance for a while..
Fabio Vieira seriously injured. Knee done.
for Vieira? Refs gone mad.
Rip up Fabio Vieira's contract
He was sent off for getting injured? How Arsenal.
In a Kent Cup final I played in, an opponent was fouled, screamed "Ahhhhh faaaaack" in pain and the ref sent him off for foul and abusive language as he was stretchered off
Not for him and his teammates.
They ended with 9 if I recall correctly.
And did your team still lose?
Also, that towel incident? What the fack?

Never saw a ref being busy with a towel. Embarrassing.
We played a lot better today, especially in attack.
It's very difficult to break down a team like Newcastle who have 3 or 4 6ft 3 plus defenders who are also shielded with a very physical MF.
Aye castor, I was also very encouraged by our play in the first half.
We lost our heads after the ridiculous penalty call. I understand it, but it's going to happen again, we need to respond better. Still won though, thank the lord

After delap and stoke 15 years ago there was a rule that players werent allowed to use other items on a ball, think they were worried about cricket like tampering but today it was classic PGMOL hates arsenal
