I dont hate him, i rate him highly

If he was at Utd and his antics had been the same, how would as Liverpool fans react to him?

Well I can't say for sure, I wouldn't see me jumping on the bandwagon like a lost sheep saying he dived when he was fouled and calling him a vile and disgusting cheat for a simple hand ball. The only United players I've said anything bad about are Evra, who I don't like and Carrick, purely for football reasons. Other than them, I've given credit where it's due. I've also made a point when people were getting at Giggs for his private life to say I don't care what people do in their private lives, I like football not Hello Magazine.

We'd slate him, obviously, and when we did your fans would point at the cheaters on Liverpool's team to defend him. Just like you do when Rooney and young are criticised, and Spurs fans do when people criticise Bale.

Liverpool fans generally don't deny that Suarez cheats, we hit back at how over the top the criticism gets. I've said it already that this thread is a prime example, Bale buys a goal for his team with some awful simulation, and people are morally outraged by Suarez getting into an argument with Dembele.

Furthermore, as I've also already said, if Suarez and Bale's roles were reversed, it would be the simulation that people would be outraged by.

Hilarious.

Fair comment mate

Before you counter me and ask if Suarez was Utd player, i would still rate him highly but with a lot more tollerence.

Most of the stuff i say is on the counter attack and is a wind up, because there seems to be a huge outcry when our lot do something stupid, thats football and we are all hypocrites in our own way

.................................

Well I was going to say pretty badly when we look at SAF for example...

TOOR say's otherwise though and it is all hypothetical...

I haven't got a problem with the guy really. Very talented footballer who practices a lot of the dark arts. If it wasn't for the whole Suarez Evra thing and if he did more stupid stuff (like the people I mention now) I would probably quite like him and find him entertaining in the same way I do Barton or Ballotelli. I don't dislike the guy and you can't not appreciate his talent or enjoy watching him play but I haven't warmed to him in the same way I have many opposition players over the years.

The likes of Drogba, Terry, Henry, Bergkamp, Viera. Even when they were still our rivals and competing with us I couldn't help but like them.

saw it on motd2 - don't have a video

if your only defence is that there's not a video of it then that just about sums it up

red man yes it wasnt anything that major

but put it together with all the other kicks and acts of violence that suarez does on a pitch and it paints the picture of a nasty person on the pitch

"but put it together with all the other kicks and acts of violence"

Which were these during the Spurs game?

There was a foul, on Dembele, it was a run of the mill foul that happens in every match. Had it been a defender, he would of been praised for letting his opponent know he was there.

Any others?

What 'acts of violence' are you on about?

kicking stamping biting

there are several examples

name me another player who dives and feigns injury a lot like suarez that also has repeated history of violence?

Dives? Suarez has dived once all season, and got battered for it. Literally every player 'feigns injury'. It's nothing specific to Suarez, it'd pandemic in the game. As for the 'history of violence', there's plenty of players. Scholes regularly fouled people and it was shrugged off as 'ah bless him, he can't tackle'. Huth & Fellaini are players that have been in trouble for violent conduct this season. Has Suarez?

red man scholes didnt have a history of sly kicks and stamps like suarez does

lots of players feign injury. few as much as suarez though and how many of those ALSO have a history of violence on the pitch

can you not grasp the combination or are your purposely not getting it?

"red man scholes didnt have a history of sly kicks and stamps like suarez does"

Nope just potentially injury causing tackles. But that's ok then as long as its not what you call a 'sly kick or stamp'

Ah do it's down to how much he. 'Feigns injury' now. Stop moving the goal posts. It's not a Suarez specific problem. It's a problem across the game. I bet there are a fair few United players that feign injury, Nani being a recent example. I bet you don't criticise them.

If you're looking for players that do both, 'violence' and 'feigning injury' again I'd look to Felliani. The perfect example of how Suarez's actions are over exaggerated is our game against Stoke, earlier this season. Suarez dived, and was battered in the press. Huth stamped on Suarez, whilst he was on the deck, and it barely got a mention.

didnt say it was ok. but theres a difference between a mistimed tackle and an off the ball kick or stamp.

im not moving any goalposts. most people will accept that suare feigns injury far more than most other players.

but the main point is that suarez is the only one that does that and the violent stuff too.

as if fellaini rolls around and feigns injury like suarez does

deluded

Ok let's put it this way. In a time when everything Suarez does is scrutinised. How many times has he been booked, or banned after a match, for violent conduct? I know this season it's a sum total of 0. Why is this? Isn't it strange considering he's criticised for the slightest thing?
