That is my point. When you see a player didnt fullfill his potential on the wing and he has far better performances in the middle why dont try something different then to help him to regain confidence and form.

Eboue was a right winger in that game. He played Eboue on the wings cos Eboue has the skill set of a winger so it's not an odd tactical choice. Why must Vermaelen's decline be due to Wenger? How can he have a great debut season and then after a season-long lay-off and several other knocks, deteriorate so badly? Was Wenger to blame for the injuries. Did you blame Guardiola for Pique and Alves' terrible form last season? Bendtner, a promising striker? You're having a laugh. He was always average. His form has a lot to do with he himself. My point is if you bring a player in and he manage to play his best performances in that position in the middle for what reason ever I expect a manager to use him there more often.

I don't know what happened to Arshavin, but I do recall him scoring a goal and running up to Wenger to give him a big hug. This would suggest he wasn't particularly unhappy about his position or the manager.

When he joined we played 4-4-2 and he played left wing, the only time he didn't was when all our strikers got injured and he played as emergency striker in a 4-5-1. He's played on the left his entire Arsenal career, the position wasn't a problem for him for him when he was ripping teams apart for 2 years?

lol it's true, I mean you said he scored 0 goals from left wing but he scored one against Blackburn from there in one of his first games so that's immediately wrong. RVP played 44 games that season, Ade 37, Bendtner 50, Vela 29 all of whom played up front. When RVP and Ade were both injured Arshavin played on the left of a 5 man midfield with Bendtner up front, never centrally. He complained about playing left wing in that formation because he had to do too much defensive work (that's where people got that he can't play left wing) but next season we switched to 4-3-3, where he continued playing on the left but as a forward, which in his own words is his favoured position
