Graeme Dott was known for being ugly. It was at best insensitive.

are you saying Graeme dott is not ugly ?

1. Graeme Dott is ugly.
2. Although I didn't twig the Reardon connection at the time, it was inappropriate, irrespective of who the opponent was.
Disappointed that Ding is out. He's struggled a lot this season, which is reflected that a player of his quality is ramked at number 9. The way the draw opened up, this was a great chance, but he was never in good enough form to take advantage. Interesting to hear that he may seek advice from an 'older player', I'm not sure if Ding actually has a coach, but perhaps some sort of mentor could be the key to him finding success at the WCs. Congratulations to Hawkins who has beaten both Selby and Ding and deserves his place in the semis. I think he needs to score a bit more heavily to be in with a shout, and assuming Walden comes through his QF, I think Walden will fancy his chances.
Ronnie v Trump has the makings of a classic, although if one player hits top form, he could run away with it.

Which player isn't?
That's it for the day?! These finishes are getting earlier and earlier!
So far, the highlight of the WCs has been Ronnie's performances. A few upsets are good, but there have just been a few too many for my liking. And not enough tight matches - Murphy Trump has stood out as the outstanding match, but not much else really. Only the Maguire upset was the other one that went the whole way.

kinsang - at least we've had two final frame deciders now this tournament. Not bad going considering 28 matches have now been completed...
Tomorrow will be interesting. First to 17 frames /33. O'Sullivan the stand-out player so far but over confidence is the big deal with him and he has been all hyped up on his 'return' if you like that it might get to his head.
Judd Trump on the other hand is a tricky player. Each frame or 2, it always takes him a couple of shots, which against Ronnie can be costly, but when he gets going, he can be the real deal.
This one will be a tough one though, there is no clear cut winner for me.
It will be also nice to see any of Barry Hawkins or Ricky Walden in the final as well.
One of Hawkins or Walden will definitely be in the final LRF - they play each other in the semis over the next three days.

Will it ? For me it's just a sign of a weak tournament when the journeymen make the final.
I can't imagine anyone with tickets for the final being particularly excited about watching one of those two.
I don't think either of them would have had a hope in hell of reaching a final in the 90s.
Yeah I know - that's why I said it would be good to see one of them in the final, they are up there for a Major trophy, it would provide Snooker with a shock and maybe a little bit more of a buzz as well!
JPB seems to think differently!
Ronnie wore the false teeth as a joke to Reardon who was his coach at the time.
RKW - If it's some young kid like Hunter or someone bursting onto the scene and making a final to play an established top player, then that's different (hunter didn't make the final on but had a superb debut). But a guy in his 30s who's been outside the top 16 most of his career ? no thanks.
