two down

It was the right call to bat again

Give the pitch some more time to wear down and take the loss out of the equation.

And another one goes down.

Captain Cook

Will NZ return to bat tomorrow, or crash out today?

it WAS the right call wasn't it? Glad someone on here sees some common sense, Bale!!

Might get lucky good session for England..

If England don't manage to win this game.. That will Equate to winning 1 test match in the last 6... 5 against newzealand..

Or you could say unbeaten in their last 8 tests

Been moaning a lot in this test. But gotta say Finn as been back to his best in this game.. Along with swanns bowling an Cook and Roots batting.. Bring on the aussies

Another good day for England, I just hope we get time to finish it off tomorrow.

touch and go The_sprinkler.. If we can get 25 hours or so that should be enough. Swann will mop the tail up.
Like a knife through butter.

25 HOURS or so? Yes that should be long enough...unfortunately we only have around 7 depending on the weather

You know what I meant.. 25 OVERS? ok.. Looking at the forecast.. It'll clear from time to time.. But with the covers needing to come off and the clean up. That will take 90 minutes, then there'll be another shower/rain band coming through..

I`m not too bothered if we win or not to be honest. We have totally out played them in this test and have won the series

Now bring on the Aussies.

Agree with sprinkler.

I think he just wanted to give Compton another bat. Can't see him playing in the Ashes now.

Good morning. The scenario's that was evident to see from 2 days ago is coming to fruition this morning. And England may well run out of time. Knock Knock Mr Cook. Anyone inside your head?
As for giving Compton time. Its his own fault for looking clueless.. was only the facts the test wickets in NZ were the flattest wickets there has ever been. he scored any runs at all..

I dont think the Aussies will provide a stern test here, and can see an easy victory.

However travelling over there will be a bigger challenge and can see that being alot closer

I think Australia's batting will be more cohesive compared to NZ's, tbh. England are the better team and Australia do provide a threat with their skipper and their bowlers. But, in truth when it comes to the Ashes everything goes out the window, so I still expect a close contest, but an England win.

As for Compton, I hope England stick with him. Yes, he is looking a little iffy, but I think there is a reason why the word patience was put into the dictionary. He will come good, I am sure, it will be stupid of England to chop and change.

Among current test cricketers, Southee has the highest scoring rate. He is actually slightly ahead of Sehwag.

Timmy, why do you want to spoil your record for this lost cause?

The ECB and Sky are offering free entry to todays play as there is little left... I can see Kash and Afrid14 running from their Bradford homes to the ground. Those two don't miss out on anything free!
