Although they might be occupying the final play-off place right now, Reading have a real dodgy home record and have in fact picked less home points (28) than Town's 29.
In fact they haven't won at home in their last five attempts, having drawn 2 and lost the other 3, plus they have only won 3 of their last 13 home league matches.
So, I reckon if Mr Robins can bring it upon himself to be brave and go for the win and put two men up front from the off, then we can inflict another upset on them, just like Barnsley did last time out.
On the other hand Mr Robins, you can play safe like you did on Tuesday and plan for a draw, in which case we'll probably end up with Sweet FA.
But Mr Robins, please remember that other struggling clubs such as Millwall, Barnsley, Bournemouth, Wednesday, Blackburn &Yeovil, have all gone to the Madejski Stadium and grabbed between 1 & 3 points and lets be honest, Reading absolutely stole all 3 points from us earlier in the season on our own patch, so we owe them one big time.
My forecast is, If we are brave then it's 2-1 to Town, otherwise the score will be reversed and lets be honest, all the pressure will be on Reading and we have nowt to lose.
So come on Mr Robins be brave and go for it, because it's a long way for our loyal fans to trek, particularly if they are going to see another p-ss poor display, in line with the recent dross served up at Doncaster & Blackpool.
And we don't want that do we?
Elvie,
I hope you don't think I've "jumped the gun" but I won't be around tomorrow to post on your match thread.
Cracking read LV. 5 stars a plenty

5 Str for Mirfs run darn above...A 'copy & paste' adaptation coming up
slack work Mr LV60...slack work
SO I asked him at the caf last night !
"Hey, LV, do you & your lass do it doggy style"
he was a bit put out but sort of admitted, yeah, kinda doggy style....more like a trick dog though,
I'm thinking this is good.."Kinky eh".
"No. not exactly" he says..."More like, I sit there & beg. Then she rolls over & plays dead"
Darn
(And a for the familiarity of it)
Darn, you dirty dawg! We weren't even out together last night, you're in dream land kid, all that humidity has melted your grey matter!
By the way, who's Mr LV60?
s'like Cops & Robbers in our house Champers
& nought to do wi' dressing up....!
I chase her.
She makes a for it
And just as I suspected..... a right lame copy & paste job So Five decorators overalls from me
You owe Mirf one now LV.
Nah ! I wouldn't be having Adkins,
Robins is just what Olive Oil wants. Some one who does as they are told, & is predictable...
But on a more serious note,
Town could, & should go at this lot,
If Barnsley can score three against them (On Tuesday)..we have to be going out there with the intent of winning, not going for a 'draw'.
So I will also reiterate.... Please start with Wells & Vaughan as a two pronged attack with support wing play !
If we send out 4 up front they will have at least 5 back....Let them worry about 'us' & what we are going to do rather than the other way round.
A comfortable, & overdue win for TOWN.
Leicester scored the late equalizer against Yeovil Tuesday night....(cue 2nd amendment cut & paste job)
s'better to be losing grey matter than to never have had any in the 1st place
Slack Work Mr LV 69 ! Slack work.
What do I owe Mirf for?
Mi thread's got facts, stats and open debate, what more do you want?
They're a football team in the Championship, that's good enough! 👍
You've remembered my name this time Dawn.
Seeing as this threads lacking any usefull information....
How about Elegantly Wasted (Where are you Lou ?)

Come on Lou, you can't sulk forever just because you've had a couple of 'forks' fired into you...

4-1 defeat, that is all.
Fookin typical, Sean Morrison could be back tomorrow for Reading! He's been out since November
He didn't even lose his head..even though the ground was dead....we say hey bobins take a walk on the 4 4 2 side
Reading...never been to the new stadium but looks nice on the TV..Elm Park was a poo poo hole...
Can't see Town getting anything from this...makes no matter that Reading have only won so few of recent games...I just say Blackpool...Doncaster to you.. Our club have got so much charity work on their minds that it's now extended to the pitch.....not won in a while ? we'll sort that for you...can't score any goals ? ..we'll pass the ball to you for you to tap in...
We should change our name to Huddersfield Charity..
pah !
Just gonna do my bets. Any tips Bingley /anyone?
I've just read that there has been illness in the camp this week. God knows what the team will be?!
Wells first scorer, town 3-1 190/1
Le Fondre first scorer, town 3-1 310/1
I really don't know to be honest.
I was extremely disappointed (again) on Tuesday night and although the decisions are made by MR and his management team, I thought he had been watching a different game in his post match comments, so anything could happen today.
Personally and if illness or tiredness allows, then it's 4-4-2 for me.
Wells and Vaughan up front
Ward and Hammill wide, with clayton and Hogg in the middle
Dixon, captain tattoo, Gerrard and smith at the back.
My missus wants to go shopping this afternoon, normally I would say no no no am listening to the footie, but today I dunno, feeling deflated.
Hydy, mate of mine did a different bet last week, chose four teams, with both to score combined with the winner of the game, came in at 1563/1.
That would be my season ticket paid for right there!!!
jacko returns,
How do mean "can't see Town getting anything from this....."
If the current bottom three teams Millwall, Barnsley & Yeovil can all go there and come away with some points, why can't Town?
Plus, other lowly clubs such as Blackburn, Wednesday & Bournemouth, all went there as well and grabbed all three points.
So why can't a team, who were one of only three teams to beat Burnley and who have also put FIVE goals past Yeovil, Bornemouth & Barnsley, get nowt out of this one?.
Providing Robins is brave and goes for it from the off, then it will be a piece of p-ss and my mate Wardy will have a blinder.
There's a lidl about a mile from the ground darn unda. They are everywhere, great value. I bet lots of the reading fans go. I wonder what beer they have in the shop.
For those toosers who slag my spelling, this took ages for me to do! But I'll try and spend time doing it.
Ward is going to smash the net with his hammer shots. As long as Robins plays him from the start. I do agree Vaughan and Wells should play together.
Thanks for telling me how to do them glasses. I'm going to have a few when I'm listening to the match. Two one to Town.
Mirf, if you check out Towns form away at teams in the top half..you'll see 0 wins, 2 draws and 9 defeats...and that is the worst of any team in the league (shared with Doncaster)..
Our only 'hope' is the 'form table' shows Reading 22nd after their last 6 home games... ...but then again, Donny and Blackpool weren't brilliant until we managed to gift them the 3 points...
Rumour has it vaughan is injured again
