Rodgers To Blame For This I'm Afraid
by That was a Sterling performance! (U1783)

======================

If Rodgers is to blame for us finishing at least 3rd and probably higher then I hope to god he's to blame next year as well and the year after and many years after that.

Obviously very few of the muppets on here would admit it but nearly all fans of other teams are jealous of how we play and the way our manager is bringing through players.

I can see why he made those substitutions. As a team we defend from the front, putting pressure on the others teams defence and midfield. With Sterling and Sturridge tiring we were putting less pressure on them and inviting them back into the game. I think BR's thinking was to freshen it up in the forward areas, put pressure on them again.

We didn't need to bring on another defender, we had enough on the pitch with the defence and Gerrard, Lucas and Allen in front of them.

The players panicked. They made silly errors, and Crystal Palace gave it a real go. They have to be given credit.

You can blame BR for not playing it safe, but playing it safe has not got us to where we are this season.

How Moses is allowed to play for us is just mind blowing, just when you think he can not get any worse, he goes and proves us all wrong

We attack like a CL team but defend like a Sunday league team

And now we're back in the CL we'll be able to buy better players. We can send Moses back down the league to Chelsea.

Poor Liverpool, you were taught a stern lesson last night about the importance of defending. You should never make a team too top heavy, it tends to fall over. And after all the recent mocking of Mourinho by 'Pool fans, for making Chelsea a solid outfit defensively, I have to say last night's game gave me quite a lot of amusement.

Chelsea dropped 11 points out of 12 at the business end of the season against Norwich, Villa, Sunderland, and Palace because they have a defensively lopsided team who forgets to attack.

We dropped 2 points in months because we focus everything on attack.

I prefer our method. Everyone drops unexpected points occasionally.

The great Mourinho said about Gerrard not joining Chelsea: “It will be a loss for him, for his career. He can say ‘I was European Champion at Liverpool’ and that is correct but I can say to him in the next 10 years we will compare trophies at Chelsea and Liverpool and he will lose."

Not good enough, both Chelsea and Pool when it counted.
Reality check, and well done to City.

What we both need is a balance between the two.

If Chelsea can only score once in games against Norwich, Palace, Sunderland and Villa, taking only a solitary point, then you're not going to win the league.

With us conceding at least 2 goals in our last 4 games has meant we're unlikely to win the league too.

At the moment, your defensive ways and our attacking way is not good enough to win the league so not sure why you find it amusing. It's not as if you're above us in the league.

The question is

would you rather pay through the nose at the plastic flag show to watch a team bore everyone for 90 minutes and come third at the end of the season

or

would you like to pay half as much for your ticket and watch the team playing football described by all the neutrals as the most exciting there's been in the League for years and come second at the end of the season.

Difficult one that for the village idiots on here but take your time.....

Sure you're not an Arsenal fan?
What a load if sanctimonious bollox. Any Liverpool fan would take winning the league ugly. You know I'm right. To keep on doing it that way would get tiresome, granted, but dont kid yourself.
And by the way, you haven't reinvented the game ffs!
Its just that as a Liverpool fan, you're not used to stylish attacking football after Hodgeson, Kenny, Rafa, Houlier etc. Arsenal & Utd did it better. They won the league playing like this.
Stop should stop reading papers, you seem to have swallowed everything the sycophantic media have been spouting about you. Bit like Rogers has.
Delusion at its worst.

I would pay again and again to watch your games against Chelsea and Palace. Two London teams bringing deluded Liverpool fans back down to earth. That's entertainment right there!

Not your one season of half decent football, which is no better than the stuff we've seen from United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, even Spurs, over the years.

You two really do hate Liverpool don't you? Does it annoy you that the hatred isn't really reciprocated?

Chelsea - trying to create rivalries since 2003

What will you do next season with Fulham in the Championship?

Its probably your fans over developed sense of entitlement that makes you unpopular with many. Contrary to the media agenda, you really aren't everyone's favourite second club.

Media agenda This is what annoys you about our club?

How exactly is it the LIverpool supporter's fault that the media have written about us favourably this season? Have Liverpool fans held guns to the heads of journalists and pundits? Perhaps we've kidnapped their children and forced them to write good things in return for their safety.

Also please tell me more aout this sense of entitlement that we have? I'm interested to hear about it. You must have lots of examples given that annoys you so much.
