Kenny the snowflake getting his panties in a twist over some banter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not banter when you actually mean it though really is it?

And surely being the one getting in a tizz because their football team won't spend loads on players when they've won the league and CL in the last 2 seasons is well in the snowflake category.

Just keep tainting

in a tizz? ive stated numerous times if Klopps happy im happy. I dont agree with standing still, eventually teams moving forward will overtake u so essentially its going backwards, no matter how good you are or have been. Thats my opinion, and i can have a laugh about our situation too. And i dont get offended when someone elses opinion is negative or different to mine either.

KinKenny just wants you to watch games and be a robot and not discuss how the club is progressing.

❗️NEW: Algerian international defender Aissa Mandi is close to signing for Liverpool FC. Little details prevent this so far. [@DerradjiHafid - @beINSPORTS]

Lovren replacement, around £9m.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can play right and left back too when googling him

Will be going to the AFCON too.

posted on 3/8/20

Mandi for 9m like another Klavan, will do a job. Must mean Klopps not keen on keeping Philipps? who helped some stuttgard get back to the bundesliga? might get some cash from them for him?

Grujic, Wilson, Shaqiri, even Karius might raise more funds, talks of Origi and Wijnaldum moving on too?

posted on 3/8/20

prob because Gini only has a year left of his contract.

That will be our Robertson cover sorted as well then. Two birds with one stone. FSG be delighted.

You can't sell all your backup players for one big signing. You still need these backups to plug holes when we continue to play 3 games a week.

Nah kingkenny wants you to watch games and then give credit to owners who have taken us from the path to administration to being European and English champions. And in an ideal world you'd appreciate that most clubs can't just spend what they want and that owners who are willing to break the world record for a defender and goalkeeper probably aren't tight.

Plus stop tickling those taints.

Dno why people get offended by others demanding more/improvement regardless of recent success. And it certainly doesn't mean they dont give credit or appreciate the work thats been done either. Not always a bad thing you want to make it out to be is it? Hopefully it makes sure they dont become complacent.

Arsenal got themselves into a good position financially and on the pitch too but the lack of ambition to continue that with backing etc we all know how that turned out.

First they get offended and then they get abusive. Very odd mentality by some.

A lot of the times i do feel, especially in Lovrens case when the guys making mistakes i'd rather the youth being given their playing time learning from those mistakes and save on wages for a lot of these average squad players anyway.

What i want is less average squad fillers (use youth instead) and more genuine quality with the ability to threaten to break into the first team or top young talent. Pulisic Werner exactly that. If it means selling 3/4 squad players like Wilson Shaq etc who are probably decent enough squad players but wont really threaten to break into the first team then so be it.

That all sounds reasonable but Kash in particular goea all out on the FSG bashing. Wants us to be another City and how any real fan can want that astounds me.

Im very thankful for FSG even if they end up doing what i dont agree with, i remember worse times with the other Americans . Aslong as Klopps not moaning about it i dont really want to either. But we can banter about it and point it out now and then without being shot down for it?

posted on 3/8/20

looking at our squad outside the first 11, we have ox/milly/matip who have proven can slot in that 11 and have had successful periods in it. We then have minamino who could prove himself and some talented youth, Williams Elliott and Jones. The rest im impartial about whether they stay or not or sold to raise funds.

If those funds are to be used to just replace average squad player with average squad player like this Mandi for Lovren, why not just use Philipps?

lol making things up as per usual. I have never said we need a sugar daddy. Just a simple requirement of one marquee signing a season to go along with some promising young players. Just because I don't suck FSG off doesn't make me a real fan.

If you were to suck them off, would you have them line up one at a time, or would you prefer they just kind of circled around you and you went to town on the lot of them?

What's a marquee signing? Like what are the requirements to count as one?

We’re in a strange position where we don’t really need a marquee signing. CM maybe with someone a bit more technical. Everywhere else i wouldn’t swap for anyone

A player who can or would improve the first 11. He could be a free transfer, 30m (Thiago) or 100m (Sancho).

We do still need some LB cover, a centre back and a back up keeper.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
First 11 is a nonsense statement in modern football. Our very problem is that in some positions our rotation players aren't good enough. Case in point is Werner. On your criteria he's not a marquee signing as he doesn't improve the first 11. No way is he better than salah mane or firmino. He would have given us back up and a different option. Thiago also wouldn't improve the first 11 and again is more about giving us something different.

What you mean is you want a big shiny signing that looks all exciting. The sort city do constantly. Like spending millions on players to sit on the bench and subsequently gain about 20 points less.

FSG have brought a way of looking at transfers that doesn't allow that to happen. Every player brought in is either solving a specific problem or at least likely to retain value and therefore not be a waste. They only go hard when they are truly certain of something and the need is great (VVD is the perfect example of this). Our transfer dealings of the last 4/5 years are the envy of most rival fans - its the one thing we get absolutely no abuse over.
