Whether you believe they are cheats or not, wanting a team for Manchester to win the European Cup is just weird.

I’m heading down to Portsmouth to catch a ferry to the isle of white. I’ll be kicking it the globe pub on the beach having a few cold beers.
My first beers out since lockdown

Can't see Real turning it around.

Really hope City don't win the CL, will be a sad day for football if those cheats get their dirty mitts on the trophy.

It's only a glorified Audi Cup now so it wouldn't really count. It would have to have an asterisk next to it.

Not really. We have no kind of historical rivalry with them. I have no issues with them as a club, their fans, manager or players. We have two rivals. First Everton. Second United.

Such a 80s mentality. I have no desire of any of the other main 6 to be champions of Europe.

It's better for the PL, including Liverpool if the PL is seen as the strongest league in this era, then we might be able to keep the top players away from Real and Barca.

We'll never be able to keep top players away from Barca and Madrid.

If the PL dominates for an era, I don't see why not. Top players want to win the top trophies.

La Liga is not what it use to be. Their tv money is not on the same level and most of their clubs are really terrible.

Most of the players in the world want to play in the PL now

The PL clubs should get their act together with their scouting which will result in buying players from Groningen like Virgil and Suarez who played there. Most PL clubs spend big money on average players.

Nationality has a lot of say in it. South American in particular, where unfortunately a good deal of the best players are from, will always naturally favour a move to Barca and Real Madrid, I doubt that will ever change despite how successful the PL teams are.

On the pitch is only half the decision when it comes to a lot of these players, lifestyle is equally important.

Suarez and Coutinho’s moves for example I expect were highly driven by their respective families as much as they did were by players desires to win trophies.

Yes that's absolutely correct, however at the moment they're moving for that reason And the fact they stand the best chance of winning the league and CL. If the PL had an era like Spain have had, then that would be a more difficult decision to make.

I see we are linked with Watford Ismaila sarr of Watford. Should be cheap, probably a good replacement for shaq or origi.

I think Sarr is living off that one game against us. I watched a fair amount of watford after the restart and he was really poor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair a few of our players were very poor after the restart too. Others were much better, Gomez and keita as examples spring to mind.

I won't read too much in to any of it untill the form is carried in after the first few games of the new season
