What a crock of Rafael Scheidt
He plays the players he thinks will win games.
There is a bit missing from that article that explains how he knows all that.

Manquillo too, Blocked more crosses per game and per minute than any other defender in la liga when we bought him in on loan, it was to address the number of goals we conceeded by crosses..
Im not sure signings should be pegged as "commitee" or "brendan" though, as they all have to agree, you can probably argue wether they were suggested by brendan or the scouts/statistician
I would imagine the process goes along the lines of: statistics show a player with potential, scouts check on them, name is/isnt passed to the commitee who then decide wether to sign them or not.
Some have clearly been suggested by brendan, i.e. Allen, Borini, Lallana.
the majority of the rest will have been put to the commitee based on statistics and scouting because thats the method we have in place, some you win, some you lose!
I also imagine some of it goes the other way
i.e: Brendan did some press and said we needed a leader in defence after carroll left.
Given this mandate the scouts probably scoured the leagues looking for candidates, they would then have been passed to the stats men, who would have identified the best players, Who were then passed to the comitee to decide on

Our boy Bobby rated 28th best player in Europe supposedly based on last season. Would have been higher if they took previous into account probably.

Mail confirming that Borini likely to go on loan to Sunderland. What is the point of a loan? He has no future here, and we will get nothing for him next summer. Unless it's loan with view to a permanent I just don't get it to be honest.
