We would be very silly to sell Moreno for a number of reasons. Yes he had an average first season but it's hard to think of many defenders in the premier league in recent years who have been very successful in their first year. He will be a good player for us.

KLS was being a moron on his thread, I dont feel that a man that showed such grace and support to liverpool during the hillsborough inquest, came to the memorial (on his own) stuck around to talk to liverpool fans and families of the victims, then just strolled back (on his own) across stanley park deserves pathetic point scoring.

I think Moreno has all the tools to be one of the best attacking full backs in the world. We'd be nuts to sell him.

People need to calm down about Gomez as well. He was good against Stoke yes, but it was one match, and he's only just turned 18. I still expect Moreno will be first choice for most of the season.

Not as black and white as that though. Their whole transfer strategy in terms of what they can spend is based on what happens with Stones. If it was said that the window shut in the first week of August, Martinez, along with everyone else would do their business accordingly.

He said he believed that clubs should have they're business done before the season starts. If he really thought that he'd have his business done and his players told that any bid will be rejected after that time and that's that.

Yet he's still looking to sign players from other clubs, is it not "unfair" on those clubs that Everton are looking at?

No, because everyone is in the same boat!

No matter if you think the window should be closed or not before the season starts is not the point I'm arguing over. It's the use of the word unfair!
