i blame mbappe, bailed out on madrid so they swoop in for tchouameni (theyd might have gone for him anyway)

Tchouameni would have been ideal, Nunes would have been nice.

I can think of about 8 midfielders who I'd like us to have a good look at tbh.

They may well have their work cut out next summer as it is looking like they will need 3 cms in as it stands.

Be no surprise to see Naby sign an extension though.

Nunez, Diaz, Ramsey and Carvalho in.

I'd say it's on par. Having Diaz helps but we've lost 1 attacker, meaning it's going to be very tough to compete on four fronts again. Minamino has a huge part of that success last term.

Tbf I would’ve sold Firmino and kept Origi/Taki.

No offence to Firmino he’s been a good servant, however he’s had a huge decline as a player.

Where as Origi and Taki had next to no game time and both scored vital goals which won us our trophies last year.

So in essence we lost goals from Mane, Taki and Origi but only signed Nunez 🤷🏽‍♂️

Also I would probably move Keita if he wanted to move on and replace with some quality… But times running out.

I really fear that we’ve significantly weakened our squad in comparison to the options we had last year..

A revamp to the midfield has been on the cards for a season or two, I sort of wish we'd been adding incrementally but you're right, next summer has now become a big one for us.

Neco wasn't in the squad last year tbf (or did he stay until Jan??) but yeah it's not far off either way imo

Just need better players than Ox & Keita for the 240k/pw that they eat up

Yeah this.

Someone said we're not as flued whilst nunez settles in and we get used to him. However the alternative is Sloppy Firmino, guy literally fails to complete 10 5 yard passes in a row idk how much more fluid that is.

maybe put salah upfront and carvalho on the right?
