Trent has put on some pace. That was always his one criticism.

Is it just me or does Trent look a much more energised player this year? His attitude seems completely different. Last year heads would drop so fast if things weren’t going our way and he was one of the worst for that but that isn’t the case at all this year.
Can’t tell if it’s the vice captain position or the haircut that has helped most
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He looked too bulked up to me last season to me.
So when is the club going to start questioning those responsible as to why we are literally the only team in the league that gets yellow cards for dissent?
It's utterly ridiculous.

The referees fvcking hate us, I’m just getting used to it at this point. Every single game has a collection of ridiculous decisions!
Waving your hand in frustration as Liverpool player- yellow card.
Telling the ref to Fluck off to his face as an opposition player, nope that's fair game.

Trent has actually been good defensively this year but it's something just about the combined pace and skill of Martinelli to go both ways in particular that he just struggles with so much. For that reason, I was really happy to not see Martinelli starting today. Fortunately when he got at him today, Konate was there to bail us out (absolutely outstanding today Ibou by the way)
I went to the Emirates for our 2-0 league win 2022 and even in that game, Martinelli had him on toast all match.
Exceptional game from Trent today though otherwise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, there's been improvement all round and Trent is special for us but we shouldn't act like it was always good.

The refereeing was absolute bobbins yet again yesterday. Ben White should've seen red for 2 yellows in the first half, one for screaming fack off and then one for slamming Jones to the floor after getting done on the byline.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ref booked two of our players for reacting to decisions. White told him to fack off and all he did was call him over for a talk.
One thing we need to bear in mind from yesterday is that if Arsenal had a half decent striker, it would have been game over by half time, no matter what changes were made then.

It's because he's in Predators now
Joking aside, I just think the team realise we're in contention this year and a few of our players have stepped-up accordingly
Very little movement on the transfer front for us by the looks of it. I’d be very surprised if we signed anybody at this point which seems a bit daft considering our chance in the league.
If we manage to sell Phillips, I reckon we'll get a CB. Other than that, we're stacked all over the pitch
Carvalho is moving to Hull on loan apparently.
Gets to play with Tyler Morton, who's having a good season apparently
Gomez played LB under Rafa when he 1st started for us. Was exceptional then and looks to be his best position. He's too error prone as CB apart from a brief stint a couple years ago and he's a better LB than RB

It was with Rodgers
Yeah he’d be about 40 if it were Rafa!
He was only £3m and he is showing a bit of form tbf
I do think we need another midfielder but doubt we will go in this month. The team is performing and squad players are also making an impact while a few kids have really stepped up. We do need players back cos a bench with kids is risky being in 4 competitions.

Arsenal put in effort and looked more up for it, esp in mf. But ive seen people like robbie from AFTV saying the played us off the park and cut us open with ease and should have scored loads.
They didn't, they turned us over in possession with high press and from our mistakes, hardly cutting us open or playing us off the park is it? Also their chances weren't that good and the best ones were defended quite well in the end such as Konates last ditch block etc. They should have scored 1 or 2 for sure but wasnt like they claimed, pure domination. Most neutrals even utd fan Goldbridge said Liverpool were the better team 2nd half and had just as many chances hitting the bar twice etc.
