beck has done very well on loan has rangers and celtic clamouring for him apparently

Gomez looks best at Lb so he’s not being moved anywhere atm.

February ffs
Never gonna happen is it.

I would move Gomez to RB and play Beck at LB personally.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why Beck?

I've never seen him play a single minute so have no clue how good he is but Bradley has been in and around the first team, was taken to Germany in pre-season and got a good amount of playing time. Plus he was very impressive in his loan last season apparently. I'd have thought he's the more obvious choice so interested why you'd prefer Beck.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Similar reasons really- Beck has played a lot more football this year in the scotttish prem. Would say that is a more impressive loan spell than Bradley's in league one. Plus prefer the idea of a left footer there and Gomez a right footer on the right from an attacking perspective.

Issue now is that who will invert. Way too early to ask Bradley. We did ask Gomez to invert in a few games when Trent was out earlier but can he do that from left back. I think we might see Gomez move to right back.

Bradley is getting hyped too much. He didn't really do much in the game. Now we will get to see if he can step and also provide an attacking outlet for our system.

This I reckon

Gomez played the inverted role at least once this season already and did well, but yeah it was from RB.

So that means Gravenberch, Jones and Mac in midfield with Elliot rotating-in... unless we go four up front with two mids

Like I said, never seen him play but I'd agree that doing well in SPL loan is more impressive. From a quick google it looks like he's been playing wing-back for Dundee so a slightly different system and role for him.

I remember Trent limping during the game but never noticed his knee jar like this:

Played for a good 25/30 minutes afterwards too.

I'd be loathed to move Gomez when he's playing well tbh.

Apparently Quansah played RB in youth football, could he be an option? Keep Gomez left.

Oh for the days when you could just plug Milner into any position

Aim is Chelsea game apparently.

So that's both semi final legs and a tricky trip to Bournemouth in the league.

Could have been worse but hopefully our momentum won't stall with him gone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep. Could have definitely been worse.

Honesty thought we may have sorted out the silly amount of injuries in training but we’re not the only ones.

Can’t prove it but I reckon the winter World Cup has had quite a knock on effect.

Winter world cup, longer games, you wait till the ridiculous new Champions League comes in...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Games are longer but in-game stoppages are also longer.

Wouldn’t bother inverting. Play a classic back four until TAA is back, it works because of him!

I would be interested to see the stats too, but my interpretation from watching games is that stoppages are longer.

Extra man in midfield works well for us with inverting. Gomez won't be able to play like Trent but he can add his physical presence and he is not too bad on the ball.

It was an arranged marriage. He has said many times that he will not date women. You can believe the Daily Mail if you want.
