i dont think slots doing anything different to what he planned to anyway, maybe a tiny bit but i doubt he just chosen to copy psg suddenly
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah maybe. The pieces I read about Slot before he joined led to expect he would slow Klopp's team down a little, make our play a little more patient. Trying to get Zubi last year tied into that.
The players we're going for now are all pacy and quite counter-attacking, just my view

none of them are cms though, ofc we'd still want pace in attack and the fullbacks

I watched Arsenal last night and i think they will miss Partey's off the ball work and his physicality in the 1v1 duels. It was very easy for Villarreal to play through them and find the spare man. Zubimendi is a good player who can play those line breaking passes but he isn't the most mobile player in that position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he was Arsenal's best midfielder last season. He ran the midfield against RM but due to 2 free kicks he didn't receive the credit. He will be a big miss for them.
Horrible human also has to be said.

They’ll sign Jackson, no one else wants him. It’s pretty clear that things are happening behind the scenes, so bit early to panic yet.

For the money we are trying to throw at Isak you could probably go and sign Harry Kane.

So how much for Isak ?
£120M plus add ons
£130M plus add ons
I just think we could be putting too much into this deal.

Whilst I have have been really excited this transfer window and I shouldn't really complain, with all the out goings we look a little light in attack and defense.

We need to sign a CF, then a CB and promote Rio as back up for LW... (With multiple other players who can also play the role)
It has to be Isak, as we won't really need to spend anything for years.

Fair enough, though tbf you do come out with some daft ideas!
But I don’t think there is anyone else available for that price who suits what we want at the moment. We’re desperate for a proven CF who’s already proven in the PL. Not sure who else we can buy.

I'd suggest that Kane would actually score about a billion goals for us
Jokes aside he'd smash the PL record fairly quickly with the level of service we can provide.
Couldn't see it happening but he'd bring as close as you can get to a guarantee of goals.

Kane is a terrible idea. He needs legs and pace around him. He needs to be the focal point of the system. You’re probably right, but obviously there’s zero chance of us signing him. Also a small chance his competitiveness has been dulled by having such an easy time in Germany.

i dont think slots doing anything different to what he planned to anyway, maybe a tiny bit but i doubt he just chosen to copy psg suddenly

We now need to find as replacement, yet Isak looks more and more further away with every player that rejects Newcastle.
If not Isak, then who ?

They’ll sign Jackson, no one else wants him. It’s pretty clear that things are happening behind the scenes, so bit early to panic yet.

£120M plus add ons
£130M plus add ons
I just think we could be putting too much into this deal.

I'm not confident. I just aint. Newcastle might want to make an example of him and us on this.
