Newcastle left Isak out of a club wives and families party.
They're some smooth operators over at there.

Trent and Isak are totally different situations.
Looks pretty impossible for them to keep hold of Isak to me. Too much been said and done
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. At least we are paying British record fee for Isak while TAA was worth 100m and manouvered to leave us for free, by good luck we got 10m for him.
We have made a proper approach to Newcastle and offering them more than fair compensation for their player. That's very different from Madrid tapping up players to run down contracts.

Alan Shearer has defended Trent Alexander-Arnold's decision to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid, emphasizing that he's earned the right to choose his path after years of dedicated service. Shearer believes Liverpool should give him a "great send-off". He also pointed out that Liverpool had the chance to sell him earlier and make money, but chose not to, and that he is entitled to do what he wants.

Ye all of that. But more importantly, Trent was with us as a child and Isak has been at the toon for 3 years.

There's a parody aggregator LFC account on Twitter that's sprung up a few months ago and one bit they keep doing, is tweeting Stephenson keeps asking our own players for their shirts at half time in all the friendlies. It's such a obscure, silly bit but I just think of it every time I see him now

Nice stuff all around that.
Liverpool may not let Chiesa leave unless they sign another winger, at least according to Slot’s public statement. At the moment, in Italy, the only options for Chiesa are #Napoli or Milan. For him, Napoli could become a last-week-of-the-transfer-window solution with a loan plus option-to-buy formula.
[@NicoSchira on YT]
Surely not.
wouldnt loan without an obligation to buy.
🚨🔴 Liverpool are pushing for Marc Guehi talks with Crystal Palace ongoing, but a deadline has been set. If no breakthrough this week, attention will switch to Giovanni Leoni.
Palace’s valuation vs Liverpool’s price limit will decide the outcome.

they've signed 1 cb..
oh nvm 0, the 1 was from the youth team
They’ve replaced Kerkez and Kepa but that’s it I think.
Defo a good time to play them.
As somebody from the Bournemouth area I hope they use a load of this huge influx of cash to finally build a proper stadium especially now they own Dean Court.
All money from Richard Hughes work there?
Bit strange they signed a Chelsea rejected keeper for 25m that couldnt replace Sanchez of all gks when they could have got Kelleher for 12m.

📍Exclusive: Liverpool make offer 💷 & Isak advised to not ❌ to enter City Centre alone ⬇️
The situation with Alexander Isak at Newcastle United is reaching a boiling point.
Tensions 😡 are so high that some officials and players are completely ignoring him around the training ground. It’s clear there’s a rift.
Sources suggest that captain Jamaal Lascelles has even advised the club owners to consider Isak's wishes, indicating that this isn’t just a minor issue & could affect harmony going forward.
Adding to the saga, Isak has been told to avoid being seen alone in Newcastle City Center while Liverpool’s interest is ongoing.
We understand
@LFC
are offering £120 million upfront, with potential add-ons pushing the total bid to a staggering £125 million 💣
Newcastle United haven’t rejected this latest proposal but will only accept once new replacements arrive.
Henry Winter always speaks well, and I think he’s pretty much spot on with this…..

Time for Alexander Isak to stop the game in the shadows and hand in a transfer request. He wants to leave Newcastle United, Liverpool want him, Newcastle deserve a proper price, £130m+, and time to find a replacement. Eddie Howe, a good manager, deserves a break from this distracting saga.
Impossible to see Isak playing for Newcastle again. Are the Saudis really going to stick an asset in the reserves? That would guarantee a cloud over the club all season and every one of Howe’s press conferences dominated by more Isak talk.
Players move, they’re not fans, loyalty is short term, it’s a short career, Isak is ambitious and Liverpool offer more chance of sporting glory. (And let’s not forget what’s happening to Brentford over Yoanne Wissa who looks bound for Newcastle).
But the situation is tacky, Isak is damaging his reputation, perhaps deliberately, so Newcastle accept he can never pull on that famous black-and-white shirt again. He has to go.
But Isak should remember how Newcastle and Howe improved him as a player. He should remember the support of the fans. Whatever he may or may not have been promised in the past, Isak should show Newcastle some respect by ending this distracting game of poker behind the scenes with a formal transfer request.
St James’ Park on August 25 should be lively: Newcastle v Liverpool. Lively on the pitch, in the stands and in the boardroom. #NUFC #LFC
