Toor, when you say "he won't play regardless if they sign a striker" is that because he said he won't play for them again?

I’ve been trying to think of a precedent of when a player has gone this far to get a move and then been reinterpreted and …. Ronaldo at Utd maybe. All that space stuff.

But I can’t think of one where they’ve chucked it in to this degree and then the club and player have turned it around.

Newcastle squad wise there will 100% a section of players who will be done with him.

They will take the money and they will sign another striker, but the way this has panned out that striker can now ask for a brilliant package.

We’ve done an absolute number on Newcastle tbh, really fvcked them up and in a few different ways too. Even Guehi must rankle.

Not sure how I feel about it really.

Fecking over a state owned football club?

I’m alright with it tbh.

If we get Isak, Geuhi and Leoni over the line, then Richard Hughes deserves a medal. And to think people doubted him.

hes useless, 12m for kelleher when chelsea getting 25m for some reject that couldn't even replace Sanchez ffs. And that keeper that relegated lesta went for 25m to wet spam hughes and fsg out!

How have we facked Newcastle over exactly?

posted on 12/8/25

In some ways, I think its more acurate to say that Newcastle have fycked themselves over through incompetence.

Won a trophy, got back in the CL. It was on them to identify targets and get them secured as soon as the window opens, like we did numerous times under Klopp and this summer too.

Had they done that then Isak situation would've have been far less damaging.

Think Howe has done his best to manage the optics, but he's been dealing with a comedy of errors from within.

We’re going to do unholy things to Liverpool that night - whether Isak’s in red, black and white, playing or not involved.

SJP under the lights, first home game of the season? It’ll be an atmosphere like no one’s ever seen before. Every tackle, every throw-in - that stadium is going to be at the height of fever pitch.

Guimaraes and Tonali snapping at the heels of Wirtz every given opportunity, Botman and Thiaw leaving elbows in on whoever they’ve got up front, Hall, Joelinton & Gordon tripling up on Salah preying on his every touch, Elanga on the counter, Ramsdale whipping the crowd up every five minutes…

“Absolute cinema” doesn’t do it justice - I cannot wait. Game of the season, game of the decade perhaps. They’ll be having nightmares about it for the rest of their careers.

Donnarumma to City is done say french papers and Indy, to replace Ederson moving to Galatasaray too.

Interesting one that, I’m just happy he’s not going to United. The Onana clown show continues

City sign Donnarumma. Wonder what Trafford’s thinking? Surely they told him before he joined.

My gamble failed, put him in my FF and draft teams

That’s a weird one, I thought Pep wanted keepers that could distribute well - good with the ball at her feet. That’s not Donnarumma, he’s a shot stopper. A damn good one admittedly.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well yes that’s certainly a major indicator but the whole thing really. He’s clearly extremely frustrated with them and by all accounts he had agreement he’d be allowed to leave this summer. He refused to go to the pre season trip, has pulled out of training sessions and matches. Also all info coming from the manager suggests he won’t be playing.

This all leads to him being sold by the club at a lesser fee than they expected. I haven’t seen it work out any differently with any other player.

I’d rather he signed for United. He’ll improve City. United need a lot more than a bit of improvement.

Fab:-

🚨🇮🇹 Liverpool want Giovanni Leoni now as staying in Italy on loan was never discussed as option.

He’d be part of Arne Slot squad with immediate effect.

Club to club talks ongoing with Parma, Leoni said yes to #LFC and never needed any convincing.

Yep. Imo Ederson has had a proper drop off in quality and was a weak link. Trafford wouldn’t have been better either. He improves City for sure.

Malik Thiaw from AC Milan to Newcastle for £35m.

Rumours are that they can't spend anymore than that without selling.
