I'm a realist world class players would choose City, United, United, possibly Liverpool before looking at us

Being in the CL has raised our status! we need to be in it again in the next few years

Sorry but i have been annoyed, angry and negative the whole 2/3 months of this window and i'm not going to let a couple of spurs doom and gloom merchants ruin my mood, Diarra is an awesome player and signing We will a striker i'm bloody sure of it but let's just be happy we have a signing closing in at last!!!!

Oh and Chronic, you think that's good about Liverpool.....get this one - VDV,Bale,Diarra,Modric and lennon for nearly the same Money Carroll cost

*United, Chelsea

Just need to get rid of Jenas, Wilson, Bently, Gio, Bassong, Crouch and bring in a new striker and new centre back. Not too much to ask for is it...

However, any move for them will be from 'smaller' clubs, so if they want first team action then they will have to leave Spurs and take a pay cut.

It's ridiculous ain't it , Oh and did you see the loserpool fans faces against sunderland when Downing made that run and smashed the bar? (on match of the day) Yes it was a good run but we see that with bale almost every game It was almost like they were about to blow their load with excitement after it happened ........You need to watch it

Don - I hope you're right and there is something being lined up in those positions behind the scenes. Last time I checked we had a very good midfield and that was before we bought the unnecessary Pienaar. I just don't get what Harry's obsession is with the midfield. If he strengthens the other areas then fair enough, I won't be complaining.

@ Spurtle, i don't disagree with you mate in that our midfield weren't a priority BUT that was before Sandro had this Injury. Not just that but 9mil for Diarra mate? Come on.....this is an absoloute bloody bargain for a player of this quality. It also means we still have plenty of cash to get a striker in. I'm confident adebayor will come in regardless of that stupid talksport info

Any news on Modric?
------------------------------

He's staying.

Don

Sandro will be fit fairly soon , he wont be out for the length of Diarra's contract so if Modric stays as Levy says he will who will play alongside Lenn , Mod ??? Bale or will he play both Sandro and Diarra and Dump RVDV..........Or will this signing mean the end for Modric ????

Hasn't Hudd got a long term problem with his ankle? Maybe they are considering an operation for him soon?

Explain to me .....Why exactly do we want him ???? hes effing good !!!!!!!!!

Is he better than what we've got ???? yes he is better than palacios. we currently have one other combative midfielder in the squad, and hes injured.

Who will make way for him ???? sargeant wilson will leave with our well wishes and blessings

is this the End for Thudd , Sandro or Modric ???? no

Don even with Sandro getting injured I think we can compensate with the quality on offer. It's when he comes back that things could get complicated. I only hope having 3 quality holding midfielders doesn't encourage to much change to the balance of the team.

At the end of the day the signing of Diarra does not signify the end of anybody. It means more competition in our CM and competition is a good thing!

Wilson can leave I have no problem with that after seeing how Livermore played last night

Nice problem to have though Squid. And no, I don't think Modric will be leaving. In fact he's going to have to be at his best all the time to get keep his place now.

Btw, Sandro might have said hes back in training in two weeks. But that doesn't necessarily mean he is anywhere near ready. It might take weeks for him to get match fit!

one of the reasons modric wanted to go was because he was seeing us pushin on and showing the ambition to be a top top side, supposedly. well diarra played a big part in the real madrid first team last season, and he should be playing at spurs this season.. a step in the right direction in signalling ambition and intent to modric.

Let's face it Chronic, Modric just wanted the money, they all do.

Apart from VDV of course, he took a paycut to come here the legend.

If it is true all these in the ITK's are useless as most of them siad Diarra is no-goer.
