I love it Blackstarr. You have a go at me over my original post (which has provoked 38 response so far on a quiet morning) and then roll your sleeves up and wind the United fans up!
The patronising TV coverage was made up of glum-faced northern ex-players trying to explain why United were robbed after twice having a two-goal lead. At 3-1 down we should have been dead in the water. Don't forget only a week ago United slaughtered QPR 4-0 and this was hailed as the new dawn! Can't see van Gaal doing much better than David "the chosen one" Moyes unless he can stamp his authority on this team and bring them to heel. If Ferguson had still been in charge the whole team would still be in the dressing getting some not-very-friendly advice.

Well I started off trying to actually stick up for the United fans but they don't make it easy....

What do you expect the media coverage to be when the biggest team in England, if not the world, ships 5 goals to a newly promoted championship side after bring 3-1 up? Get over it

Blackstarr opinions or not, until that point we were the better team, we had the goals on the board, we had 3 more excellent chances. What no Leicester fan has yet accepted is that decision completely changed the game. Instead they're coming on here spouting that United fans don't accept that it was our fault and that Leicester played well when in fact for the past two days you could find hundreds of posts and responses saying that exact thing. United fans have been much more humble in defeat than Leicester fans have been in victory.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Juan, I have been honest about the penalty and honest that it helped us. I think the immediate reaction from the United fans after the match was less than dignified, quite similar to some of the stuff we got from the Arsenal boys.

That said, Leicester fans should have been more gracious in victory. I am trying to be balanced here
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you expect fans to act after a defeat like that?

Cause we weren't very reasoned directly after the game. It was a horrible decision and a horrible performance after that. However we have been reasonable and there are still multitudes of posts from Leicester fans being anything but reasonable.

Greg - what I wouldn't expect is for our team to be labelled as a bunch of cheaters. You can't be that surprised it subsequently riled a few Leicester fans up

posted on 23/9/14

Jesus christ, hardly anybody blamed your team, we blamed the ref then your fans came on saying why can't we just praise them.

Anyway, this is literally going nowhere cause you're subtly wumming. Well done on the win, you placed awesome, the ref decision didn't make one dot of difference to the score and even if he hadn't have given it you'd have gone on to win. Cya.

Good article, exactly my thoughts too, yeah the pen was a gift but Man U should still have enough mentality and strength to win the game against a newly promoted team

posted on 23/9/14

If anything..at least Man U fans are finally learning what it’s like to have referee decisions go against you…rubbish aint it?
(Spurs fan)

Wow, you have to go back tht far Spurs fan?

back where? what you on about mate?

If I was a Man U fan I wouldn’t be at all worried about the penalty that was gifted, I’d be asking why one of the biggest teams in world club football collapsed after that?

Which most are doing.

By the way, your comment about decisions 'finally going against us' is nonsense.

because thats football.

just like bayern beat barcelona 7-0 or whatever it was.
or how a couple seasons ago spurs collapsed against arsenal.
or how we beat arsena 8-2, or how arsenal beat chelsea 5-3, or how we lost to city 1-6...

football bruh

True Greg true
I’m sure Van Gaal will get them sorted at the back, might have to wait another year for CL though

posted on 23/9/14

Anyone would think it had been 0-0 and we were given a 95th penalty to win the game against the run of play.

To be fair I understand United fans being hacked off at Clattenburg, I'm a bit annoyed that its taken the gloss off a great win for us, but you have to be balanced about these things.

I said weeks ago United remind me of two cars badly welded together and it showed.

Greg, do you not think teams better than Leicester will exploit your defence also? Or do you feel it was a one off?

posted on 23/9/14

A few of your goals were very fortunate and fell nicely for your players, not to mention the ref handing you 2 goals.
As good as you were taking the opportunity, you were extremely lucky to finish the game with 10 men and to receive two penalties and get a United player sent off.

Do I think better teams will exploit our defence? No, I'd hope our players would learn from their mistakes and I am sure Van Gaal will be going through defensive stuff.

We were so open against you on Sunday, clearly a lack of respect for your side and I'm sure that won't happen against the better sides.
I actually fancy us to beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, not sure about City though.

yes it was a debateable penalty at a crucial time but for a club like leicester about time one went our way against a big club. erland jonnson down at the bridge a few years back is one we never forget . leading 2 1 up at old trafford with fergie screaming at the 4th official for more time added on which he got. 2 2.and if you united fans want to whinge about dodgey pens .how many did ronaldo get you over the years ,

"how many did ronaldo get you over the years"

I can't think of any.

Got any examples?

"fergie screaming at the 4th official for more time added on which he got"

Yeh that's what happened.

The 4th official added on a few minutes to hep SAF.

A likely story.

Debatable penalty? Fook off you fool.

posted on 23/9/14

Juan I'm sure you can join in the debate without sounding like an arsenal fan

posted on 23/9/14

What's to debate with? How can you debate with somebody that calls that penalty decision debatable?

posted on 23/9/14

Because like it or not it's about opinions. I don't think it was a pen, neither do United fans or the pundits but someone is entitled to say they think it is

BlackStarr (U12353)

Sometimes it's not good enough to hide behind the 'opinion' option.

It's too easy to say something utterly stupid and claim you're entitled to an opinion.

posted on 23/9/14

Winston if this board was hosted on a North Korean website I'd be inclined to agree but the fact is football is about opinions. You believe his to be utterly stupid. That's your opinion. That's all. Not fact, but opinion. Whether you choose to respect others opinions is up to you

posted on 23/9/14

Some of the posts by both sets of fans on this thread are astonishing.

I agree fully with Winston in saying thy neither sets of supporters are covering themselves in glory.

I personally find some of the comments towards our club spiteful and arrogant, as I'm sure some Utd fans do towards them.

We don't think Vardy cheated. You do. I think we need to accept we're not going to agree on this and move on.
