guy was obviously a friggin nutter, on bail for suspected murder of Ex-Wife and 40 sexual related incidents, just so happened in his fantasy land he decided to become a bit of an Islamic extremest by banner. he could have just as easily have been a Spurs supporter, he was still going to storm the cafe that day. pure head case.

How someone can fail to see how American foreign policy is responsible for the existence of at least some of these extremist groups is beyond me.

Well, while i agree with you, it's not really that surprising is it? Unless you do your own research then your knowledge is limited to what the likes of the BBC tell you is true, so you can't really blame someone who hasn't actually looked into it for believing what they are told.

The taliban have now killed 100 people at a Pakistani school

Fack me sideways.

Yes, blame the Americans for the loss of over 90 school children in this morning..you know, they are young kids. Probably never heard the word "hate"..

This Pakistani school thing kind of puts the Australian thing in perspective - As horrible as it was, this school thing is on a completely different level and just shows how dangerous that region is compared to the relative comforts we have in the west.

Yeah, it was really a horrible incident killing over 180 school children along with other 200 people.

I thought Aus is safe but insanity is everywhere.

Anyone trying to blame the US yet for islamist bloodlust against kids in Pakistan?..........

Of course there islamists do not like the west, and they will use that to further their sectarian power struggle.
Who is claiming western foreign policy is always right,oh those who research for themselves so much.

You have heard of earlier Islamic land grabs and battles with the infidel, right, way before Bush n Blair?

Sunni v Shia is also the fault of the west,ya know.

Nowt to do with rival claims regarding Mohammed.

We bring it on ourselves.

Israel to blame as well.

Straight up.

No one is blaming them, but it seems you kind of want people to

Part of the problem, to me, is that people always have to pick a side and stick with it. Every terrorist attack is either 'bloody muslims' or the fault of western foreign policy, when really they are all just terrible acts committed by humans against other humans.

Instead of trying to figure out whether we should be cracking down on Islamism or going crazy at our governments, we should just be nice to each other and hope others follow suit

I agree brother u443,I truly do.

I am simply tired of people blaming the west for it all,and if you read my post history,I do not support US or UK foreign policy..............so we concur.

Peace

U4443 rather,I missed a 4,so get a name buddy, and make it easy for fools such as I to chat with you.

I opposed Blair and Bush in their crazy WMD campaign of lies, and I oppose what I see as a massive threat to liberal peaceful society, namely, hardline islamist political ideology.

I am on the side of humanity, like you.

Bluebells

You can call me Dot

I agree with you about blaming the west being the go-to tactic for a lot of people, no matter what the circumstances, as it is on the 'other side'. But there comes a point with that mindset where you start to put your political ideology/beliefs ahead of the good of humanity (intellectual materialism i believe), so that your perceived good, i.e blame everything bad on 'the bad guys', becomes counter-productive.
