Harj, just think how bad it would be if Cellino hadn't sorted out the finances eh.
Just think how little you would post if it was not for these snippets.
Don't see why he should sort out GFcockroach's mess ?
Agree harj, transfer embargo is also no fault of his.
Better call saul
Better call sol,
Spin off series?
Why is it gfh's mess Harj?
If it is Enterprise then it's Flowers. Flowers and Farnan were seen to be the white knights I recall...
Jonty, these 'bills' should've been paid ages ago...not when cellino got here....
Can't comment on the previous thread so i'llcomment here.
Most "investors" will seek a return on their "investment" in any walk of life. The repayment vehicle might be different but inevitably the end result ain't that different.
This club needs to be self sufficient. I'm not sure what people are expecting. Simply handing over sums of money as a gift? If that is the case then they are seriously deluded. If not, what is the issue?
Why are people blaming bates
Cellino bought the club.
ITS IS FOOKING RESPONSIBILY
Or do people buy an house and blame the roof leaking three years later on the previous owner ??
Had a glass or two have we 🍻
Harj, which bills? What details do you have exactly?
How many times do we have to go through the same thing, Cellino bought the club over a year ago, assets, liabilities et al.
It's his responsibility.
Jonty you really are a self righteous bell
Self righteous ha! Not the first time ya heard that.... eh Jonty baby😂
I can't believe people are suggesting that a companies debts are not the responsibility of the companies owner.
Not sure what your idea of a company is or how it works
I always find this laughable, the fan response.
They want THEIR money back! HOW DARE THEY.
Wake up guys. If you lend money to a friend you want it back. This is business. One business owes you money, you expect to get it.
Batty - Sorry, but I think your comment about being a 'self righteous bell' is a bit harsh. I don't see anything that he's written that isn't correct.
Everyone knows that when you buy a business lock, stock and barrel, you're taking on the debts of the business. All of them.
One can certainly blame the previous regimes for racking up the debts, but, now that he's bought the club, it's down the Cellino to pay them.
To query why Cellino should pay for debts incurred under previous regimes is simply to misunderstand what happens when you buy a business.
Assuming they are legitimate debts, that is.
Question is,
why didn't Bates and/or GFH pay the debts, and why should they get away with it.
If it's Bates era debt, why are GFH allowed to pass that debt on.
Jonty, LIW, HFL, get a life and grow up.
Why are these companies coming out the woodwork now Cellinos stood down; they've had every opportunity when he was running things, if you can't smell a Bates rat get your nose checked.
and why are they always winding up orders?
As usual facts are less plentiful than opinions on here
I agree with LIW an others though that when you buy a company as a going concern you take on its debts
Cellino should have known the commitments the company had. If he was misled he should pursue those he believes misled him.
If these are valid debts the lender is entitled to expect his money back
As to why now, maybe they have been trying to get paid for some time and this is the final step - or yes maybe they see an opportunity
I gave no idea what the facts are but those are the underlying principles
No good ranting about people who may simply want a contract honoured
