Won't be watching tomorrow as it's a night for the kids,
But looking forward to Saturday
Reckon it'll be Brook Late stoppage
Mcdonnel - UD
Etches - Mid KO
Russel Jr - UD
Doniare - Late KO

Absolutely nobody talking about the Brook fight.

Anyone think that the winner of the Floyd Manny fight would want to fight Brook in order to unify the Welter division? Or is Brook just not a big enough name in the States for that to happen?

Also if that fight did actually materialise what are Brook's chances?

Brooks chances with either is practically zero at this point although his natural strength would see him through to see a UD points defeat IMO.

Will be interesting to see how much his injury has affected him and what his mindset will be. He needs to start fighting a few more names to get him bigger in America and then we'll see what he can offer.

They'd cover a failed drugs test up before cancelling the fight I reckon.

It's happened a few times, think a Margarito fight was allowed to go ahead even with 2 or 3 failed tests prior to the fight.

Corrupt as it comes is boxing.

Think Brook will put on a show tonight and get the stoppage around 7/8.

Kell came in light for the weigh in an looks to have had a great training camp.

Gavin's got good skill and talent but not the right attitude, heart or mentality to make it as a top pro

If he were going to make it, he would have beat Bundu

posted on 28/3/15

yep, Bundu won at least 9 rounds against him, the judges made it look a close fight...

just shows how different the pro game is

but if you don't bring the fight to him and fight at a slow pace, he be competitive. for example against somebody like Alexander, I think it would be a competitive boxing match

gonna order something to eat in a bit, I'm thinking a big unhealthy, greasy doner wrap with all salad, garlic and chilli sauce+ chips with sauce

sounds good eh?

posted on 28/3/15

That is shocking. You better only eat like that once a week?

Got some chicken in some cider sauce in the oven

yeah only once a week at most

do you rate Brook D4? what strengths and weaknesses you see in him?

posted on 28/3/15

Yes, has a good skill set a product of the Ingle gym.

Good movement, picks his punches well accurate. Decent chin, but not granite.

Can be lazy in training and not focused enough for fights.

He's got good fundamentals, strong jab, solid straight right, good composure. he's not very mobile though, I think he will rely on clinching rather than footwork when somebody tries to get in his chest, like he did against Porter.

I think he gives anyone in the top 10 a tough fight

posted on 28/3/15

It looks like he will fight somebody like Berto after this though, that's a joke. He earned my respect with the Porter win but if he goes back to fighting bus drivers, I'm done

Jones gave him his toughest fight and fought on his chest, he learned from that.

He had good physical strength to clinch Porter.
