Well stone me, i had no idea that people were offended by it’s name. Didn’t know it was a thing.
I guess they can get away with it as it wasn’t referred to Slave 1 in the movies.
Fire spray isn’t bad, just doesn’t sound menacing.

Not sure i get the complaints about that episode. Quite enjoyed it though not a fan of the biker group, bit to chavvy for my liking.

I am with Cinci - yeh its just a straight-up filler episode, but I can live with that, also gets bonus points from me for Rancors and Danny T

It will always be Slave 1 to me, just like the Skywalker saga ended with ROTJ in my head.

The Rancor info was great and it's those small tid bits of star wars lore that I enjoy being sprinkled into these shows. They even mentioned the Witches of Dathomir, which made smile.

I’ve seen comments about the Rancor scene, but I really liked it. Even though I knew at that moment, everybody said ‘Hey it’s Danny!’
But then when he starts about the Rancor, I thought, well done. A nice backstory to the beast, and it works, cos that explains the reaction of the guy in RotJ.

Do we look back on that scene with a bit more compassion, or do we still have a chuckle?

And where is Slave 1?

Don't think Guv will get his wish of visiting other planets in Boba. This is set up for a war, Boba needs to build his army up as much as he wants to do it diplomatically.

Lots of shade being thrown at Fennec at the moment. Is she going to cross Boba?

If memory serves we saw it a few times in Mando S2........so i am guessing just chilling in the parking lot of Bobas (Jabbas) Palace?

But yeh feels like we are staying on Tatooine for the foreseeable future, unless in ep5/6 Boba needs to go find friends, but if anything I feel he will get the Sand People, and give a rousing speech in Tusken!

Fennec just seems like she wants to get buck wild with it at any moment. To be fair, they haven’t even suggested that she will turn heel.
But even though to us the viewer, it seems Boba comes off soft, it is being acknowledged in the show.

I never found that scene to be amusing in ROTJ. I always thought it was some guy who trained the Rancor, so didn't really think much of it. I was too busy being excited about how Luke Skywalker just killed it.

I felt sad for the fat baaastard.

I suspect you might be right as there is only 4 episodes left and Tattooine seems to be attracting more and more potential villains.

I think Fennec will take the throne but not by double crossing Boba, more so from doing some sort of a deal. Boba isn't cut out for this crimelord stuff, he should stick to Bounty Hunting.

All things seem to point to a movie concluding Mando, Boba, Ahsoka and Rangers stories.

They are probably keeping Slave 1 until the end of the season, where it will be used in more CGI heavy scenes.

I really enjoyed Mando season 1 and 2 and Ahsoka is an iconic star wars character but, I'd prefer them to stick with TV shows for now.

I think I was being evil, cos I was glad the monster was dead, and Jabbas plan to kill Luke just blew up in his face. Then you see the dude crying, always made me chuckle. Had no sympathy for him.
But I may now see it differently…..
