You have just been dismissive if not derogatory, with no substance**
yeah, get off your high horse mate, I don't need to provide any waffle (or substance as you call it) I will be voting to leave and the article is about scare-mongering and then people that come on to comment start scaremongering with so called 'facts' you couldnt make it up (pardon the pun)

For all this talk of leaving will cause X to happen, is staying in the eu actually going to help/improve the country? the eu seems to be failing, another bailout for greece was agreed today...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who knows for sure either way Adam.
If i felt leaving would improve things I would vote leave immediately without hesitation.
I'm not 100% certain which is the better option but as I have not seen real personal negatives from being in, yet I can understand the benefits I feel leaving would undo years of progress at best. I'd rather stay and progress further.
Give me some examples of laws we've had entirely imposed upon us and the negative impact of those laws then.
**
No
I'm voting to leave and that's all you need to know
if you want Britain to make it's own laws and be a democracy you vote to leave
----------------------------------------------
This is a key point in my opinion. Can we honestly say that locking ourselves into the EU for generations to come (because that's what will happen if we vote to stay in) will allow us to be able to live in a true democracy ?
A democracy is surely a system where people actually get a say and where they are not dictated to by unelected bureaucrats in another country.
The EU more resembles a dictatorship than it does a democracy and after we're locked into this EU system for life and for the lives of our children and their children this will become abundantly clear.
but as I have not seen real personal negatives from being in**
Open your eyes is all I would say to that
My eyes are open, and my ears. I have sat down and thought about it long and hard and I can;t.
If it were that easy you would be able to give one., surely.
The fact that people have made their minds up to leave and can't give me a single reason why leaving might benefit me worries me a lot.
Pretty much the exact reason is shouldn't have gone to a referendum in the first place**
classic, got many many reasons just not going to debate them with you, so basically what you are effectively saying is if people are not agreeing with you there shouldn't be a referendum unbelievable.........

no he is saying if you can;t give a decent reason for leaving your thought process is questionable and if that is the case are you of sound enough mind to choose?
In short he is basically implying you fall into to the poorly educated or aware sector. No one would seek advice of such people.
Now you can get upset about that but that doesn;t make him a fascist.
Superb - aka TheBoyGiggs (U6486) "A democracy is surely a system where people actually get a say and where they are not dictated to by unelected bureaucrats in another country."
What exactly do we have a say in either way? Every five years we vote in a party based on promises they make (and break) with no recourse.

'he' doesn't know me or anything about me and neither do 'you', if you want to try and dismiss me as simple because I'm not going to enter into a pointless debate with you (where I give my views and you tell me I'm wrong in a patronising way) then more fool you, this is precisely the reason that millions of people will vote to leave because you've decided they are not worthy of a vote if you look at my comments on this thread I have given some reasons as to why i want to leave, the main one being that we cannot have a British democracy under the EU and we cannot make our own laws and start to try and get a handle on immigration, some of the issues that affect simple people like me VOTE LEAVE
I've asked before if there are any pieces of legislation passed down from the EU, that anyone wanting out disagrees with.
Zero answers.
One of the key points of the European Union is a unification of quality standards with economic and social mobility and to promote investment.
If no one can complain about any one piece of legislation, they must be doing something right.
If legislation is positive, why does it matter where it is passed from?
Are the UK governments any better at being democratic on key pieces of legislation?
They can whip MP's to vote in a certain direction regardless of what the constituents think. There's a point made of giving MP's a free vote from time to time, shouldn't this always be a free vote so the MP can act on behalf of his / her constituents?
Back to the EU, costs will increase for everybody on the back of Brexit, even through the simple matter of customs clearance needed on products.
People won't be able to afford the things they did before, so wages go up, as does inflation, as will interest rates to keep inflation in check.
All for what?
So that we can make a few more laws in the UK that will probably not be better for the people anyway?

got many many reasons just not going to debate them with you,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you have got many, many reasons for voting leave but you and indeed the whole of the leave campaign CANNOT or WILL NOT give a single definitive reason why leaving is the right way to go.
You appear to have decided to leave based entirely on the concept of Britain being able to make their own laws.
What makes you think that Britain will make ANY laws that are at odds with the laws made in EU?
I have given some reasons as to why i want to leave, the main one being that we cannot have a British democracy under the EU and we cannot make our own laws and start to try and get a handle on immigration, some of the issues that affect simple people like me VOTE LEAVE
-----
????
1) we cannot have a British democracy under the EU, yes we can, and do. Local elections, elections for mayors general elections are indicative of that. Whether those elected members act in a democratic way is a different topic.
2) we cannot make our own laws
Yes, we can and do. The EU legislation covers things like employment rights which would be trounced by big business if left unchecked.
3) try and get a handle on immigration
The U.K. already deals with immigration effectively. Net benefit due to immigration is evidence of this.
People can vote how they wish to, they do need to consider many aspects of the EU before doing so.
What makes you think that Britain will make ANY laws that are at odds with the laws made in EU
-------
Glenghis, the laws EU pass are beneficial for the man on the street. Look at the parental leave for employees law, not everyone is a Tory toff able to afford a nanny.
If the UK makes laws that ARE at odds with the EU legislation currently adopted, it's likely they will be to the detriment to the man on the street.

We have democracy, we vote in our governments and we wouldn't be having this referendum without said democracy.
Your first response to a post of mine was to call me stupid, hardly practising what you preach are you?
I don't know you anymore than you know me yet you seem to have a superior attitude yet your behaviour is no better than mine.
you just can't stop can you with your diluted version of the facts, vote leave make your own choices, global trade, bigger picture, controlled immigration
now we are getting a sample of 'remain' bullying, still vote leave

Ffs..
We have all that now**
we have all what now? controlled immigration we don't even have an accurate record of who is here...give it a rest
you will just make up anything on the spot and call it a fact to try and brainwash people
We have controlled immigration, it may not be perfect but it is controlled. If we have people here without our knowledge that is our fault and leaving Europe will not change that.

The EU doesn't control our borders so it's going to be a tough one for you to blame the EU on that.
