And hardly, we've not spent a penny yet with the sale of Kante and De Laet so even if we spend £50-60m we're still well quids in after winning the league and CL qualification.
Also we're not hundreds of millions in debt like United are either.

Portuguese media claiming that a deal to sign Silva for €30m has also been agreed. Nothing concrete behind this though
If we get Slimani and Silva this will be a really brilliant transfer window, only Kante gone, most of the team signing new deals plus Zieler, Hernandez, Mendy, Musa and Kaputska. Our squad will be significantly better than last season.
Should be an exciting deadline day for once, I remeber under Pearson not to expect anything and Ranieri got his business done pretty early last season I recall.
The guy that's reporting this is Brazilian, no idea how credible he is but one thing is for certain he can understand Portuguese.
"Leicester City have reportedly reached a deal to sign Sporting duo Islam Slimani and Adrién Silva.
Diário de Notícias, Record, O Jogo and Zero Zero are all claiming that the agreement happened on Tuesday night and the Foxes are expected to pay between €60m and €65m for the double deal.
Diário de Notícias and Zero Zero say that Leicester will pay €35m for the Algerian striker and other €25m for the Portuguese midfielder. But Record and O Jogo are claiming that Adrien’s deal has €5m more in add-ons.
Adrien Silva was is in a difficult situation at the club, since he gave an interview saying he was ready to leave, but then Sporting released an official statement saying he wouldn’t be sold for less than his release clause, which is €45m.
But the outlets who claim the deal say the Sporting board were afraid the player wouldn’t be much motivated if he stayed, and decided to sell him."
Yes alot of sources on twitter saying a combined 65 million for both. Crazy to think where our club was 4-5 ywars ago and now.

Not a Man U fan, but I am a Barca and Feyenoord fan, so I'll take any wums about that.
It's only seven since we won League One, quite astonishing really.
When Mandaric sold us I remember a lot of people were extremely skeptical about the Thais because of previous foreign owners and understandably too but looking at what they've done for this club is unimaginable, even dreaming this would have been too far fetched so your subconscious mind wouldn't even bother.
So here I'll thank the owners for making things wilder than dreams come true and Mandaric for finding these guys and for stabilising the club so it was in a position to be sold 👏

So in 2016 the rules have changed and you can no longer go in debt or bankrupt if you spend more than you earn? You are piling on wages and transfer fees on your books. Do you think its normal for a small club like Leicester to spend 108 million pound on transfers? (added the fees mentioned in the OP)

Are you seriously this facking stupid or are you on the wum?
Have you any idea how much revenue we brought in last year? We have no debt, very wealthy owners, astronomical TV money coming now coming in, CL revenue and more importantly we have grown our global fan base (and sponsorship deals) enormously.
The Leeds example is a ridiculous one because they racked up debt and stretched themselves beyond their means to the extent that they HAD to qualify for CL football. We are making a huge amount more than they were and, i'll say it again - WE HAVE NO DEBT.
Also how on earth can we be considered a small club? Granted we're not Barcelona, Man Utd or Chelsea - but we're not Derby County either. Its a completely different world now - its not like Bournemouth spending £50m is it? Its a drop in the ocean for us against what we earned last year.

Pretty easy to pick one of the most successful clubs in world football out of thin air and say you're a 'fan'.
Blackstarr, are you a child or you just cant help yourself calling people names? Are you Arro's little helper?
Barca fan since 1999 mainly because of many Dutch players playing for Barca. Not weird is it to be Dutch and Barca fan considering the Dutch history in the club, mainly Cruyff, who is a Dutch and Barca legend. Koeman who scored a screamer at Wembley in 1992 winning them the Europa Cup. And actually have been to Nou Camp.
Anyway, happy you guys are loaded and healthy but you are not a big club.
I would be gutted at losing Leo but would probably be best for all concerned.
James to Hull makes sense as well. He could still feature for us in the future.
I would prefer N'zonzi over Silva but that link seems to have gone quiet. Could Silva and DD play together in a 2?
