I don't want to see Mick get a hat-trick of titles at OUR expense. I hope we go up before that happens.

I think whoever takes over at Villa will do so with the club at a low ebb so its a good chance for someone to come in and turn the club around, much like Jackett did with us.

Bruce would not be a popular choice given his background with Blues and his dull style of football which also lead to Wolves fans having their doubts. But he does get results at this level.

The job at Ipswich has become impossible for any manager given the lack of spending even when they have raised decent income from sales. He has had no choice but to play pragmatic football unlike the Wolves team that won this division under him that were great to watch. He would do well at Villa and could replicate what he did at Wolves where he wasn't the most popular appointment but went on to better everyone else we have had in the last 30 years including some highly rated names.

But I suspect they will go for neither of those two

Wolves U23s lost 1-0 at Everton through a 93rd minute penalty.

Very unlucky to have a pen awarded for this incident in my opinion

Iorfa is in the England U23 squad this weekend but Hause has lost his place. Shame that will be because of him losing his place in the Wolves team rather than him playing poorly for England where he has always looked ok.

The U23s play in Kazakhstan on Thursday then play Bosnia & Herzogovina next Tuesday at the Banks's Stadium, Walsall

The likelihood is that he will indeed get a hat-trick of titles. No need for blind faith, as will be the charge. One only has to look at the evidence.

Mick haters have spent ALL their emotional energy fighting against facts. In that time, Wolves have floundered and never looked like getting promoted to the big table.

And still they shake their fists and bleat:

"But nobody told us"

Mick's judgement will be so harsh that they will wish for rocks to fall on their heads, but there shall be no escape through death.

Is it England U23s now? Have they moved that up from the U21s as well?

That's very true. They've done well on little resources, and having a chairman who has put his hand in his own pocket.

Would love to see Zenga replicate what we had that season we won the title - (obviously with different players - other than Edwards).

Zenga has more chance of jumping over the moon.

I think we should stop singing the song about Zenga taking us to the Premier. Its looking unlikely at this moment.

As much as I think he should be given time and as much as anyone might like him; I think Fosun will pull the trigger if results don't improve over the next few months. They have already outlined their ambitions and won't hang around if someone looks incapable of achieving them.

I completely agree with that but in Zenga's defence I think it would have been a totally different game on Saturday if either Bodvarsson had been fit to play or if Dicko had been a month further on in his comeback and been able to start. I don't feel ready to throw the towel in on this manager and squad yet

Either / or.

That's a relief. I was about to kick of about them increasing the age of youth team football all the time.

We'll have under 30s soon. We already have over 35s football for all you old barstewards.

Think I saw a TV advert showing over 60s football where running is illegal.

No spending for Mick

It must have been tough for him being able to out pay us for three prem players and put together a very strong and experienced championship side

In his own words 'people think we have spent no money but they don't see that Evans put in five million of his own money lately'. Or words to that effect.

I don't care how Siggy does now. I'm just glad I don't have to watch him anymore.

It could all change when those pesky Americans arrive.

Especially if someone starts a conversation about, Edwards, Stearman, Siggy, Leon, or Mick.

Like you just did.

Mick one of the favourites for the Villa job: http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2016-10-03/ipswich-manager-mick-mccarthy-among-favourites-for-villa-job/

Good to see Edwards getting top rating at the weekend. We need to extend his contract.

And again.
