I hate to bring the H word into it but we all know what happened in the 30s when the disenfranchised population of a European country felt they were not listened to and a guy came along with nationalistic views and listened!
We are on a very dangerous path here
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For far too long our leaders have made a sizeable proportion of the population become self centred and greedy to the point of "I'm all right so fwck you Jack".
A significant undercurrent of disenfranchised communities have been ignored and generally pissssed upon whilst being studiously ignored by governments and those who think that somehow they're in some middle class "wealth" structure.
It's hardly a surprise when those same people just say enough is enough and vote against "more of the same". Hence Brexit and Trump.
Yet those who were bigoted against by their own country and treated as underlines are now considered to be the bigots?! Christ give me peace.
And it's not just the UK and the US this is happening in. It's happening all over the western world.
The crazy thing is that many want to return to that and label those who don't as thick, bigoted, racist etc.
🤔
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All very interesting I'm sure Ginger. But nowt to do with the topic.
So, as I ask again, what the feck has this repugnant reptile done to deserve a state visit over here?

Curlyits awful to think that in 2017 the USA is singling out one particular religion. Its fook all to do with security imo. No citizens of any of the countries on his list have carried out attacks on US soil.
I think the petitions may not do a lot more than show those resisting in the states that we share their views. No harm.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's specifying countries. Not a religion. Many Muslims form other countries are free to travel.
Of course its political Ginge. If you have the POTUS over for tea and don't discuss politics well your lads aren't doing their job.

I have my reason in my other post Tully.
Whether you choose to accept it or not is of course your prerogative but I notice that yet again anyone who disagrees is referred to by type.
Because I disagree with you (as do millions of others) that makes us indecent?
And you wonder why many choose not to engage in these conversations.
I've been challenged over and over again today and have given reasons. My reasons.
But they're not acceptable so effectively I'm incapable of having a rational debate, shout my arguments (because I don't say anything others agree with), am thick and now indecent.
Bloody hell.

1. Brexit
Nah don't like that. Vote again.
2. Trump.
Nah don't like that.
3. State visit.
Nah. It's political. Let's sign a petition to try and stop it.
4. Give me reasons.
Nah. Don't like them. They're inappropriate and/ or unacceptable. You must be indecent.

What next, direct action, anarchy and physical abuse against someone who has the temerity to have a different view
It is worrying
