Who gives a flying fwck what Europe think?

Let's just go crawling back eh?

Christ.

You cared what Europe thought when your PM was selling herself. "Go wan that'll show em"

😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Our PM went to try and discuss a sensible leaving agenda and see if there was any potential for access to the common market.

That door was shut firmly in our faces. No surprise really.

But when it came to the sheer determination to punish us and the way that a shower of fwcking bureaucrats treated the leader of arguably the worlds greatest parliament that was it for me.

Self centred arrogant jobsworths hell bent on taking us down a path of beige anonymity.

Let them carry on. I can see there being no EU in the next 5-10 years.

The common market idea was brilliant in its simplicity. It's a far cry from that now. Glad to be on the way out of it.

Must've been embarrassing to see May holding hands with that cretin. As bad as each other mind you
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I certainly wasn't embarrassed.

Might give those in Europe something to think about as they devise even more ways in which they want to punish us for having the audacity to leave their little cosy club.

Fwck them

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The person in charge of trade for the Trump administration wrote a paper about how the USA should only have a trade surplus with trading partners. Any trade deficit has negatively affects their job market and has taken away their low paid manufacturing jobs (this ignores the fact that their productivity has increased as manufacturing jobs have declined and is to do with automation and modern manufacturing).

The USA currently has a trade deficit with the UK. Any trade deal we will rush to agree in a short period defined by Brexit will probably result in a reduction of our exports to them.

I'm sure the EU are quaking in their boots about our 'special relationship.'
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who gives a flying fwck what Europe think?

Christ.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You obviously do. You were the one who brought Europe up.

Who said anything about crawling back to them?

I just mentioned why the EU might not have more to think about and why it might not be good for us, contrary to what you had stated.

Are you incapable of rational debate and just shout as loud as you can when someone stats something you don't agree with, regardless of what facts they present? No wonder you're backing Trump at this moment. Why don't you give us some alternative facts.

Mmm. Labelling those who sign and are continuing to sign this petition (in huge numbers) as dim, spoilt weans and chucking in Brexit-like topics only serves to muddy the issue. The issue is - does this person deserve a State Visit? In my opinion he has done nothing to deserve this honour. And, as I find his views, comments and actions loathsome in the extreme, I shall exercise my democratic right to oppose this.

And before the slavers start mouthing off again - I don't give a flying fook if this is to help get a trade deal as I don't fall into the myopic trap of automatically concluding that what is good for business is good for for the UK. And to suggest that this invitation is somehow 'non-political' is either very naive or very disingenuous.

"right-wing, UKIP loving support"

Just cos people voted for brexit doesn't make them right wing

People want control of our own borders. Our NHS is dying and the more people that access it the quicker it will go

Right wingstereotypical response of a phannie
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did I say it did?

Of course there were left-wing reasons for leaving the EU. I considered them fully when deciding how I was going to vote.

However, the Tories are a political party. They are primarily interested in remaining in power beyond this current political cycle. So they are absolutely going to commit to policies that will maintain their power, and at the moment in UK politics they are bleeding supporters to UKIP. So they are going to commit to policies that are going to help consolidate their support by pulling back in those right leaning supporters. This will also influence their approach to Brexit.

To think that the Tories are going to work in the interests of the whole of the UK as opposed to their own support base is either naïve or ignorant. I'll let you choose which one you are.

Hello captain obvious.

Which is my whole point. The Tories are going to appease their support base.

You were suggesting that they weren't. As were other Brexiteers on here.

posted on 30/1/17

And by the way, the NHS is doomed regardless. The Tories have dismantled it systematically and will continue to do so regardless if we left or remained the EU.

posted on 30/1/17

So you only single out the tories?

It's their support base in your opinion . Your opinion isn't fact. Obviously !

I have some work to do, so I can only assume you're taking a bit of time to get these facts together. And as a matter of interest I do believe it is within my democratic rights to bring up Europe into a thread should I choose.

In the meantime I'm trying to ensure we get out of the EU quicker if at all possible. 👍

Looking forward to these facts already. 😀

The better it's funded and the better it's organised then the better chance it has.

Brexit will fundamentally change our NHS, not necessarily through doctors (it's actually in my interests at the moment for it to be easier for non-EU doctors to be accepted into the UK to work in the NHS) but because we're going to have a massive lack of nurses and auxiliary staff. We rely on EU nationals for that.

Really? So what about the huge number of immigrants who work in the nhs. It would collapse without them.

Also - you actually think immigration will reduce? no - all that will happen is immigrants will come in from outside the Europe to do all the jobs brits won't do. And they'll do it for cheaper. The government could've controlled immigrant numbers from outside of the eu for years. Did they? Did they fook. They know that industry needs them. So all the people who voted to get rid of the poles and Bulgarians will be slightly disappointed when a family of Bangladeshis arrive next door.
