Floyd knows all the signs when a boxer is tiring and when he can start to move in. When he moves in it will be for the kill.
-------------------------------------------------------
Mayweather doesn't go in for the kill though, hasn't ko'd or tko'd anyone in years. Don't remember the last time he even floored anyone. He certainly wouldn't go in for the kill against a big striker like McGregor no matter how tired he thought he was.
Also if anyone's going to get tired it's the 40 year old fighter who hasn't fought in a year and a half and counting, not the in his prime 28 year old who has been fighting regularly.
It's not like Mayweather is like Hatton or Hamed.
Look at the man, he still trains.
I'll take a 40 yr old retired Undefeated world champion over someone that has never had a pro fight at that level.
Being prime age isn't everything, Mcgegor isn't on Mayweathers level. Nowhere near. It's disrespectful to other fighters to suggest it.
Ffloyds ability to adapt and nullify opponents is what makes him great.
Whether it's pleasing on the eye or not isn't the point.
His class wins all day long.
And again, he won't get credit for anything, all will praise Connor.

----------------------------------------------------
Which is why this fight is even being talked about as possible. The comments about a prime Conor McGregor tiring in the fight before Mayweather seem baseless though.
Almost every time I've seen FM talk about this fight and CM he makes a point about CM being a stand up fighter as if to suggest he's a boxer in the UFC. While boxing is a strength of CM in a UFC context, with boxing rules it is a complete mismatch and FM wins easily.
Never going to happen but I'd like to see a fair fight.
Not baseless... there's reasonable logic being applied as to why he will gas out, becoming even more ineffective. Mayweather will say "come on then, knock me out son".. after 3 rounds of hitting air and shoulders, he's gassed.
I'm not saying Mayweather knocks him out, Connor may have a good chin, I don't know.. but this can easily go to points.
Connor takes the praise. Ffloyd, takes the win, takes the money, takes the criticism and goes home.

--------------------------------------------------
McGregor is a smart fighter himself, he studies the art of fighting and movement in detail, he's not going to gas himself out hitting airshots for three rounds like a wild man. No chance.
People are falling for it.
The real fight in pro boxing today is not in the ring, it is outside the ring for the casuals, that's where the money is.
Both Mayweather and McGregor have stated that this fight is possible, maybe even likely so not sure anybody's falling for anything. Especially as most comments here suggest the fight won't happen.
There are of course big roadblocks such as Dana White and his promise to take this to court if the UFC isn't involved. All we're doing here is speculating and having some fun with it.
This fight seems to have moved another step closer to actually happening:

Heard all this before with the Pacquiao mayweather saga,I'll believe it when they sign it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not saying it's a done deal, far from it. Just showing that various media outlets are claiming that an agreement has been reached between the fighters.
There's still the problem of the UFC and a very plssed off Dana White. Clearly the biggest sticking point to this fight happening. But then again money talks and as long as the UFC get their share of the pie then I don't see what's to stop this happening now.
Still a big if though as this whole event is simply all about the money for all involved and rightly so as it would do crazy PPV numbers regardless of all the haters.

A fight for the casuals fans, who prefer the drama and trash talk over the action in the ring.

There seems to be several rumors floating around media recently however, let the record show, there hasn't been any deals made in regards to a fight between myself and any other fighters. I am happily retired and enjoying life at this time. If any changes are to come, be sure that I will be the first to let the world to know.

Sorry Vik but the speculation about this fight is going nowhere. None of us are being forced to talk about it though.
As for Mayweather saying that today a few days ago he said “Most likely the fight between me and Conor McGregor will happen". Tomorrow he'll be saying something else. That's just Mayweather.
I don't think that the fight will happen soon either though, especially as McGregor is contracted to the UFC for four more fights.
Then again McGregor seems quite confident that he could apply the Ali Act if the UFC don't "know their place" in this situation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The build up is an integral part of the fight, why wouldn't people enjoy it? If you cannot grasp this basic concept then you don't understand boxing and how it works.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'd probably like WWE, it's all about the fake drama there and farcical fake fights.
It amuses how easily you all are fooled. It mostly the young kids that are taken in by this, but you are meant to be a grown man, how are you still taken in by this, are you really that naive?
D4 I don't think that anybody is denying that there is an element of farce to this event, because that's basically what it is - a money making event, not a fight.
Whatever anyone says about it though it's a money making event that will generate an unprecedented amount of money in PPV terms, probably even more than the May vs Pac fight regardless of the hate it's getting.
