How Boycotts Work

Your mistake Quinny is assuming that they will listen to a Tim suggesting something sensible.

Some (Zach etc.) might, but the Laudrups of this world - nah.

Long, long way back then Curly.

Because it worked for doen't make it a mathematical certainty.

But as I said for fans to wait and see what turn up isn't an option.

This could drag on into the next decade at this rate.

I agree with Curly

These are different times, and King is going nowhere. He spent too long getting control, and he isn't the sort of guy you can shame out of the club.

Best thing for Rangers is to work with King to make it work.

Ultimately Rangers need to get listed, and that will never happen when there is so much turmoil, boycotts will only make this situation worse.

<This could drag on into the next decade at this rate.>

This is no idle speculation.

The 3rd decade of this century is only 33 months away.

The Rangers owner has a criminal record of a fiscal nature.

The Stock Exchange option is closed to him.

Listing will allow benign 'clean' investment.

Agreed Mick and do t know why we cannot get listed tbh?

Can't get listed till you get a nomad and can't get one approved until you can demonstrate good corporate governance. That could take a whole, but will take even longer if your primary customers are boycotting

Culry /Mick.

I can see what you’re saying but it’s a mighty slow plan.

Which might not even work.

Protest / energy would compensate for on and off field frustration.

Christ if I was passing I’d chuck a tenner in their bucket.

Boycotting would be a bad idea considering they are close to administration.

What Rangers would benefit from would be a huge investment from Donald Trump. A match made in heaven

It's fcking shameful what the board have done and particularly how they've done it. They'd better pull a rose out of this stinking pile of schite or there will be trouble I reckon.

posted on 25/2/17

Indeed rats, there does seem to be a significant variance between what they say they're going to do, what they say they have done and the reality that you guys see as a result.

posted on 25/2/17

Exactly. Since day one they've looked like they're completely wingin it. The instability at the club has not diminished and we seem to lurch from one crisis to another.

And I'll say again that the promise of transparency couldn't be further from the truth, with shambolic and embarrassing press releases and press conferences.

That one with Traynor hustling Warburton and he press was another riddy. Then the headline "We have a plan" It's just another source of ridicule for you guys.

It's been said many times that all is not right at the club and there must be other stuff going on behind the scenes. Since the SC semi win there's been no cohesion and the standard of play plummeted. Then all those signings that haven't worked out, including Barton.

It's a Jackie Brambles.

Aww. Celtic fans still think their boycott worked.

That's nice.

More revisionist nonsense.

Rats You and a growing number of bears realise this. Others remain deaf dumb and blind

They can't fooking boycott because you won't shame this lying kant King and his cronies into leaving...

Likewise too many of the 'vocal' kants in our support like Graham and houston championed the arrival of the mendacious one so they can't be seen backtracking...

What we really need is club1872 to exert pressure but they won't do that.

The kants get an easy ride cause they've got a dug called broxi.

Partick. I'm in the Tenement in Partick.

Come on and say that to my face.

Aye the boycott failed for us

We were in a bad place and it put us in a worse place.

Debt cleared.

Biggest stadium in Scotland with REAL plans for associated leisure

developments.

Manager and players of international standing.

Profits are increasing.

We are going for 7 in a row as this season's a Given.

Ye're right man.

The boycott failed.

=======

I remember a few backing King to the hilt.
Doubt they will admit making a mistake though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
King mostly got the backing because he was seen to be the lesser of two evils between him and Ashley. King at least did some kind of P.R. which Ashley didn't, which is basically how King won.
