In terms of a 'dead ball specialist' I've never seen anyone hit a dead ball harder than Alex at Chelsea.

You never seen Jorg Albertz take a free kick for Rangers then. His nickname was the Hammer in both Germany and Scotland.
I once saw him take a straight full force freekick at Ibrox - Rangers v Parma in a Champions league qualifier and Buffon put his two arms close to his chest to block it and Buffon ended up being smashed into the back of his own net with the force of it.

Here's a vid of just that freekick from more angles, yes you are right, it is insane how hard he hits it. When it's going in the net the ball is still accelerating.

Best penalty getter of all time has to be Ferguson ..... intimidated, bullied and abused refs into giving a pen per match at old Trafford ................. the guy NEVER missed ...........
