It is a fact. At no point have Liverpool had a more expensive squad in the Prem.
...

Where is this fact from?

So in the first year the PL was formed you spent more than us. Do you have the squad costs before the money was spent?

You'd need it for your maths.

I will sort this out later but the likes of Schmeichel, Bruce, Pallister and Ince put it above.

Pickford is one of the silliest fees ever.

There were a fair few big money players in the Liverpool squad at the time. Rush, Wright, Saunders, Thomas, Walters, James, Stewart.

Tricky with Rush. Signed for £300k sold for £3.2m, bought back for £2.8m so minus £100k cost.

Bloody hell I remember thinking £3.2m was a huge amount at the time.

Wum. He cost you £3.2m. Don't try any fiscal mumbo jumbo to make it seem like he cost you nothing. To get him to be part of the squad it cost £3.2m.

posted on 20/6/17

Well no he cist us £2.8m when we bought him back. Change your underwear and I'll sort it later.

Gonna take you a good while to go through each season to prove United have always had the most expensive squad.

Nah it becomes easy after that.

funny, when hoody was referring earlier to facts and guarantees, i had naively assumed that he had already carried out this exercise before being so confident that he was right.

otherwise it might seem - ever so slightly - that he just says anything that suits his argument, and only bothers to check his facts afterwards (and then only if challenged).

No I'm right I juse need an exact figure so you look even more of an arrogant pr!ck

spend as much time as you want on this, i don't really care, and it isn't actually hugely relevant to the original discussion. besides, my initial response was that your claim "may or may not be true", so whatever the answer doesn't prove me wrong.

just refreshing to see you make an effort to back up your argument, though interesting that you make such a big deal out of having to check your own facts (or guarantees).
