Unlike the fight last week I'll stay up or wake up to watch this one. Canelo's team must feel that they've seen weaknesses in GGG in recent fights which is why they've taken the fight but for me GGG has always been easy to hit, he's just not fazed by the other fighters punches. Think GGG stops him late on.

Yes !!

Should be great, I'm not gonna bet on it because I'm undecided. Leaning towards a stoppage for GGG in the last few rounds.

I thought it was on BoxNation?

I get the channel because I've got Sky Sports and BT sports, but looked on the TV guide and at the time I thought it was on it says it's 'Uncut: Berchelt v Miura'

Where is the fight on?

In a surprising coup, BoxNation have secured the rights to the Canelo vs Golovkin fight over Sky Sports.

The UK’s first and only dedicated boxing channel, BoxNation is free on the BT TV platform or the Sky digital satellite platform.

Viewers can also purchase the channel separately for £12 per month.

Yup Golovkin is more accustomed to fighting bigger fighters than Canelo is. On the flip side Canelo is looking in great shape in the run up. I don't think I can call this fight, I'm just happy it's happening. I don't see how it can't be an entertaining fight, it's so well poised. Ideally we'd have got this a year or two ago but that's just nitpicking.

I have always been in the Golovkin camp for this fight when it was first muted a few of years ago. However with every year that passes GGG slides a little bit more.

At 35 he cannot possibly be at his peak, he just cannot be not physically anyway.

I now think Canelo outworks him and takes a points victory. Id be surprised if either of them gets the KO.

Canelo will have the engine to outwork GGG, for Canelo this fight has been all about timing.

Superb, this fight should have been made a couple of years ago at least from a fans perspective. Golden boy were smart to let it fester and wait for father time to start to take its effects on GGG.

I dont think GGG has great stamina either tho Guv... I think in the Jacobs fight we seen that Jacobs was the more mobile in the whole fight. GGG is so used to the fight being at his pace due to opponents normally on the defensive against him. The only fighter who didnt take the defensive route against him was Brook and he wasnt big or strong enough to live with GGG who ended up walking thro him. GGG was defo blowing from round 8 onwards agasint Jacobs which is why he wasnt able to pin him down.

I think we will see the best Canelo we have ever seen and im sure he will juiced to gills !!!

All that said I would rather see GGG win, would be good to see the faces of Golden Boy if Canelo lost (I like Canelo but the ducking for two years of GGG pi$$ed me off) and have now decided to take on a lesser GGG at 35. But im going Canelo on points sadly.

Still its great to have a fight where legitimate points can be raised for both fighters winning, even better when it involves the two best at the weight.

comment by The Guvnor IV - Have no fear the batty bandit is here going balls deep in forza is a favourite pastime, if he asks for a reach around then that's just fine. Males from 20-50 is within my range, line them up and I'll do something strange for chan (U12889)

The Jacobs fight definitely pushed Golovkin physically but I still saw him coming forward and throwing punches in the latter stages. I think he ability to close down the ring wasn't as effective against Jacobs because of Jacobs movement, Canelo is a flat footed fighter and I think Golovkin could have a field day if he can take Canelo's power. The sheer pressure of a guy stalking you and cutting you off is mentally draining and we have never seen Canelo face a guy like that. However, Canelo did look better physically against Chavez Jr so maybe at 160 he has the additional energy that he was lacking at 155lbs or maybe Chavez Jr's lack of threat allowed him to manage his energy levels better. It's just another fascinating aspect of this fight.

I was a big fan of Canelo but when he vacated the title following the win over Cotto, he lost my respect and my support. I still enjoy watching him fight but I'm not as invested in the result of his fights. I'd prefer a Golovkin win for the same reason you expressed. Goldenboy were content to flaunt Canelo at catch weights whilst claiming they were not ducking Golovkin. Meanwhile Golovin has been campaigning at 160 and clearing the division out.

Agree...however I see it more Goldenboy messing about and bottling it than Canelo. Therefore I hold it more against Oscar than Canelo

I agree.

I want GGG to win but I have a sneaking suspicion that Canelo can do this.
