I think Hendo is shiiit too but I bet you've not seen Keita play more than 3 times and Lemar isn't anything close to being a CM.

First off Brian is a horrible middle name.

second he's not a no 6 but playing at no 6.... therefore keita won't take his place

thrid and finally his game when fit and when not fit are night and day. Much depends on his fitness here.

Lemar can play CM. Have you watched him play?

If he's not a 6 nor is he an 8. I know he has bags of energy and presses decent and can string a few good passes here and there but that's all. He's also been injured quite often of late.

I've probably seen him play a total of 10 games (not being a Monaco fan) in the CL and for France, and he's been on the wing every time. Didn't see many attributes that lend themselves to a CM, didn't really notice him drifting inside that often into CM areas either.

I'm not sure I'd say he's an 'adopted scouser'. For me, that term refers to players who embrace life in the club and the city, and we love them for that and for their performances on the pitch. Dirk Kuyt, Luis Garcia, John Arne Riise - those are the sort of players who fit into that category. I don't think Henderson has done enough to convince us on the pitch yet.

I do think he's a bit of a scapegoat at times. He has qualities, but he can't carry a team and probably isn't good enough to be in the starting XI if we want to challenge for the league title. A decent backup option though, and not nearly as bad as some would suggest.

He is good at pressing and also quick in the transition. Very good link up play with others and has a good shot on him. Plays quick forward passes too.

He is not an awful player, he is a good squad player. I'd keep. Just don't think he's good enough to be captain or starting in midfield.

Dele Alli should be England captain.

Not going to lie I don't see why he's a captain of both Lierpool and England. Just doesn't look like an influential, assertive person on the pitch and in interviews he sounds weak and silly. Maybe it's that stupid accent. But then I have no idea what he's like in the dressing room so can't judge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Gary Neville said how surprised and impressed he was when he first saw Hendo at international duty. He is absolutely a leader.

Gary Neville managed Valencia, I don't think he's that good at judging people.

What a bizarre comment.

Not as bizarre as you thinking he's a leader. He is more of a bystander.

There is a reason he's captain and a starter and has been picked by 4 managers to captain his side.

That's not just a coincidence.

I really rate him.
He doesn't do things that endear him to fans (apart from that screamer last season), but he does things that managers and coaches love, so I think you'll find him more resilient in keeping his place than you're expecting.

Same applied to Carra. (and nobody ever got his place because he was a local: managers can't afford to do that)/

Players love him. Klopp loves him. Arguably the best cm in the league first 4 months last season.

He's going nowhere.

If you look at his career he has a habit of being written off and proving people wrong.

He was told he wouldn't be able to make it as a footballer when he was a kid. He made it.

He was told he wouldn't be good enough for Liverpool. He has been good enough and been made captain.

He was told he wouldn't be good enough for England. He's the first midfield name on the team sheet now and recent captain.

I would rather he wasn't captain personally as I don't think he's outstanding enough. But he's a good player and a great professional, and he's a fighter.

Lots of different managers keep picking him, which says a lot.

We don't have many leaders in the squad. Can will be gone in the summer so no point making him skipper. Coutinho has given up his chance to skipper the side. Milner not good enough to start and then you are left with Lovren which we should avoid big time.

By leader do you mean shouting?

Modern English player, fast enough, brave, tall, good stamina but realistically is a very limited footballer. Some of his passing during the England games was an embarrassment for a captain playing centrally.
Huff and puff player that works hard for the team, most clubs have them and it can help when the chips are down. Walks into many other sides.

I think he's fantastic gives his all for team, a natural captain and leader
