He is a good leader and motivator on the pitch, a great passer of the ball and has an excellent engine. He's also aggressive in the tackle. All things that make a good deep midfielder and captain, which he is for club and country.
Yes he isn't exciting so those who don't really understand that game won't agree with how highly he's rated by his peers but that's just the way it is.

I watch pretty much every Liverpool game hence I know how good Henderson was for large parts of last season.
Stats can mean nothing and don't paint the whole picture, especially something like goals, but tackles, chances created, passes etc. aren't down to luck. Fact is he out performed kante in almost every area that is required for a cm last season.

Take a look at the BBC website today. They have a bit on who the most influential players were at each club last season. Funnily enough Henderson is 2nd behind Mane, and ahead of Firmino.
Part of the reason we appeared to run out of steam towards the end of the season was when both Mane and Henderson were out injured. More so Henderson IMO, as he keeps the ball moving and helps dictate the speed to the game enabling Mane etc. to break away/get into space. The same happened when that prat Rodgers was in charge. Henderson got injured, and the team was worse.
He is like Carrick at UTD. Massively underrated by non UTD fans. Same goes for Henderson with us.

I was querying your fans' insistence that your defence was good on the back of 6 clean sheets out of 7, saying it was not representative of the quality of your defence.

I do not know a single person who thinks LFC have the squad to win the league. Not one. No expects it. No one says it.

City are stronger; Liverpool are weak - no middle ground whatsoever. Is our squad weak? Of course not. Is it the strongest in the league? Again, of course not. Is there middle ground here? Obviously.
Liverpool (despite improving) had a poor transfer window. No concept of having a reasonable window that could have been better, could have been worse.
We won't win the league, you're right. But then again, only one team will. Which I'm sure in your world will mean everyone else is weak whilst one team is strong...
