Ashlii Babbitt’s family held an event today on her birthday, and Trump actually sent them a video message. This .. is ... unbelievable. “There was no reason Ashlii should have lost her life that day. We must all demand justice for Ashlii and her family.” https://t.co/DpRMhkgCVa

Time they upped the criminal proceedings against Trump

It's getting beyond dangerous now, they're still using the false notion of a stolen election as part of their campaign armoury

Revealed: 750 sexual misconduct accusations against police in five years
Figures from 31 police forces obtained by RADAR reveal accusations were made against officers between 2016 and 2020

And remember that only a minority of assaults ever get reported.

You keep saying that but on this thread you're tending to be pro brexit

Maybe just to counteract those who didn't want brexit and want to rejoin but if they're the only ones you're arguing with or throwing counter points at you can't really say you don't care or are impartial
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do keep saying it. And it still gets ignored. 😂

Maybe it's time to ask yourself why.

And recent surveys have shown that roughly *6 out of every 7* Poles supports the EU.

...But I thought I had read on here yesterday that "Poland disagrees" with the EU that through harmonisation with your closest neighbours comes massive benefits?

Are you telling me now that that was complete tripe?

That people would post statements on here that even the most cursory of Google searches would demonstrate to be utter nonsense?

😂😂😂

Doesn't understand the difference between Poland govt and Poles. Or what a laughing emoji signifies. Or has a sense of humour.

The Polish PM said yesterday that "Poland's place is and will be in the European family of nations", and that his party has no plans for or ideas about "Polexit".

Despite the recent spat, the Polish government is pro-EU.

How it works:

-Goldsmith loses Commons seat
-Johnson makes him a Lord
-Goldsmith owns villa Marbella
-Johnson: thanks very much https://t.co/btHpQ51NLL
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this the most transparently corrupt Government front bench we’ve had in living memory?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Given that:

- Johnson, Hancock (twice) and Gove have all been found by the courts to have acted unlawfully whilst in government office
- Johnson has threatened the independence of the judiciary repeatedly and acted illegally to curb their statutory powers
- Donors paying for the redecoration of Downing Street and Johnson's lies about that
- Patel has been found to have broken the Ministerial Code repeatedly (the result of which in one case has been the govt using taxpayers' money to silence a complainant, and in another she was found to have benefitted financially from doing so)
- Senior ministers have been involved in private lobbying scandals repeatedly since Johnson entered office (PPE contracts to jewellers, pest controllers and confectionery companies with links to govt ministers without a tendering process, Brexit-related contracts, unprecedented access for the City to top civil servants, etc.)
- Dido Harding and Kate Bingham's appointments (as examples of patent and unashamed nepotism)

Then yes, I'd say it's probably the most corrupt front bench we've seen since the honours scandal of the 1920s.

The electorate doesn't appear to give half a sheet, however.

Remember when David Blunkett resigned as home secretary for the offence of allegedly fast-tracking a visa application for his lover’s nanny?

That kind of stuff is going on everyday nowadays without anyone batting an eyelid. Johnson rides out the Arcuri affair without any pressure really being applied.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's disgusting, remember Hunt failing to declare millions of pounds worth of property?

Corrupt, and lambs to the slaughter enable them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Easily done, forgetting about all of that property you own, though. I mean, it was only seven luxury south coast flats he forgot about.

You telling me you’ve never done that? Had several million quids’ worth of investment slip your mind?

A keen observer might look at the particular ‘momentary’ lapse in question and note that it was quite convenient for him that he did forget, seeing as he got a knock-down rate from the developer, who also happened to be an influential Tory party donor and part-time lobbyist. But that really would be a little cynical, wouldn’t it?

I don't think the Polish government is pro-EU.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They know they can’t unilaterally pull out without a mandate from the public.

For a start, it’d be economic catastrophe for Poland if it actually played out. Which it wouldn’t anyway, because the govt would be unceremoniously dragged from the Sejm by the Polish people before the necessary documents were signed.

The Polish leadership want to put in whatever laws they want, prejudicial to any treaties and covenants that are already in place.

Their judiciary might see that as ok to do seeing as their constitutional justices are handpicked by the leadership, however the case of international law would take a contrary view and decision.

Not that the populous would agree nor the businesses.

96% of Polish freight companies operate outside of Poland for at least part of their operation.
This would just never happen.

Probably because I want to make people worry less. No point worrying about it.

I won't pretend to be an expert in Polish politics by any stretch of the imagination, but anything I've read about it suggests that the Polish government are going down the Orban route.

Stop reading English media is my advice, or at least double check all info and compare with outside sources. English media is taking people for a ride and that's quite clear to outsiders or anyone who isn't within its grasps already. From the outside its clear that England is in trouble and its media calls the shots.

Tell me. How much had the worrying and moaning about Brexit improved the situation?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brexit hasn’t improved the general situation at all.

The lack of critical thinking led to Brexit, where being spoonfed soundbites and jingoism had the effect to create an environment where rational debate was usurped.

The answer to such is not less education, it is more education.

It will be noises raised to bin brexit that will lead to a betterment of the situation.

You still don't get it.

It was a choice between sovereignty, and further subjugation to EU federalism.
