Sat nav:

I've literally said they should publish a comprehensive report on the covid spend.

To allow us to recoup wasted money, and to ensure that what was spent was needed. Why oppose transparency's for the taxpayer who are about to foot the bill.

Have you got figures regarding the covid borrowing being similar to wartime? Last time you made that claim it wasn't true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t oppose transparency, I agree with you. And anyone proven to be ‘naughty’ should lose their job immediately.

Got meetings so I’m offski but we can catch up on this later perhaps

^^^ borrowing vs WW2

If it’s wrong, then I’ll retract. But the point is that it’s a fk ton of borrowing either way!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I suggest you read the headline properly

"Since world war 2"

Then scroll down to the graph showing borrowing Vs gdp from the ONS. It's about half... And over a much much less sustained period of time.

We had this conversation before, and raising corporation tax back to the average G20 level would see that debt off in 10 years or so, but hey, better to be the party with the highest personal taxes in peacetime..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok SINCE WW2, like I said. Still a fk ton of borrowing and again it’s not all down to your blank cheques comment, at all.

We generated less tax receipts with higher corp tax. Yes you will say correlation not causation. Reverse could be said for your claim that we will generate more receipts and pay it back.

You are merely providing a vital British public service, SatNav.

#dissent and balance.♥️

Ken Livingstone was on this morning claiming 7 times more people died from covid in uk, compared to France, which is cobblers, and while boris did delay and mess up with covid response, some are using hyperbole-untruths and point scoring, when facts are enough to condemn the govt.

We also hear Cpt hindsight saying locking down one week earlier would have saved half the covid lives, but Labour went aling with tory govt in early March..see Labours Dodds agreeing with boris before lockdown, while Rory Stewart and D Cummings advocated lockdown sooner than both labour or bojo.

The blinkered, delusional denial that Brexit has had zero impact on the UKs economy and supply issues.
The awarding of contracts to chums, nothing to see here.
The awarding of peerages and contracts to Russians, zdes' nichego net.

Patriotism has changed meaning since I grew up..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have said brexit plays apart, as have most posters.

Not sure if anyone has claimed zero impact, regarding supply chain and economy.

Is this the hyperbole we hear of?
