There's still 2 and a bit years of this government to go, all well and good to glory in the tactical voting victory last night but does anyone think this tactic will hold?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tactical voting will hold if it continues to be proved to work
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I struggle to see how a coherent National tactical voting approach would work. The tories and Labour tried it in scotland and on constituency ballots they both lost ground.
I think it’s safe to say folk on this thread are more engaged with politics than your average person (mask or maskless) on the Clapham omnibus, and so landing that strategy constituency to constituency with a largely disengaged electorate who often vote with the party leader in mind is extremely tough.

Omicron may cause 100,000 cancelled operations in England this winter:
https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/news/latest/2021/12/cancelled-operations-this-winter.aspx
The peer-reviewed research, published in The Lancet, “finds that the number of elective operations performed each week is closely related to the number of patients in hospital with COVID-19.”
For the last time ():
(Properly timed and managed) lockdowns don’t result in the cancellation of operations.
Letting COVID-19 run unchecked results in the cancellation of operations.

Haha, I haven't dared put the news on with Davey in isolation I'm guessing she's got centre stage?
There's a wee clip of Ed Davey celebrating from home by jumping up and clenching his fists etc etc.
That's the same Ed Davey who criticised Nicola Sturgeon for doing something similar in the viral clip after the SNP defeated Jo Swinson in her seat at the last election.

Hector, all I am saying is that the result was defined by apathy from former Tory voters who chose not to show up to make their point instead of voting for someone else.
I am not saying the result is illegitimate.
