So why the need to create a narrative of people pushing others away or policing the chat?
There's no co-ordinated efforts to do anything, people just post what's on their mind, and as usual when highly-charged topics like politics or religion are being discussed, people don't like having their entire worldview and beliefs sh@t upon. So they get a bit shouty, sweary and unpleasant, and form into little tribes to provide some kind of comfort amongst the hostility. This is not an exclusive right/left divide thing but a general human trait.
This is precisely why we have an anonymous online forum for this kind of stuff, because most people recognise that discussing politics and religion with friends and colleagues wouldn't be possible for the above reasons

Given the last three pages has been a group of right wingers moralising over the "unreasonable left" I'd say it probably won't because no left wingers will be posting here.

But sure.. rather than objectively looking at the issue it's my "blinkers"

Without playing he said she said and going round in circles, people left for various reason from all sides and Hawk was not bullied out, but took a break, for example.
Other guys from both left, right and centre leave for a while or because they get fed up with abuse and personal stuff, but it is not a right or left wing cabal trying to bully folk away, imo.
I have posted while drinking and hold my hands up to actually enjoying the fighting nature here at times, especially if people abuse me or beliefs or community....
There were times I was the only leaver, loyalist, Christian, non Corbyn voice here, or at least I was on challenging those putting down people who make up half the voting public, but had no voice here....and it did get abusive and hostile.
People I thought were sound could then turn and that does my head in, being naive and trying to see good on posters, who then backstab you...that led to me losing my cool at times.
At the same time as fighting here, I could be having a laugh elsewhere or trying to cheer someone up who is depressed, so like all humans, we can be good and bad at the same time, and a flick of the switch in guys like me can be turned on and off in seconds, but damage can be done and it's too late.
I am waffling now, but there are no totally innocent or totally guilty parties here, imo..and a sneaky put down or snide remark can often be as nasty and damaging as a full scale row.
We just need to respect each other and listen more, rather than try to put each other down or wind posters up.
I own my red mist, posting on the sauce, not backing down, standing up for what I am and what I believe in or just foolishly NOT leaving the thread years ago.
If we look for the bad in others it is easy to find, so try to look for the good and walk in their shoes, even for one day here.

Not a fan of the ‘gender equality’ orders personally. Have no issue with people having equal rights but when that means changing the rest of the populace for a minority the I disagree.

Given the last three pages has been a group of right wingers moralising over the "unreasonable left" I'd say it probably won't because no left wingers will be posting here.
Arabs newsposts were shut down yesterday and I'd say the OP has done a pretty good job of demonstrating why this type of thread doesn't work with a partisan OP, of course he's not deleted/blocked anyone but Arabs right to post current events was challenged and the challenge backed by Renoog.
Renoog went as far as to say I only view it that way because I'm partisan but Black hawk was a centrist chased off by abusive right wingers ffs, tamwolf, Rosso, Dave, myself on two occasions quit until NPE left the site, RITH, and a few other posters... How many righties were insulted off the thread? Cal Neva when I called his post "ridiculous" literally one post.. any others? But sure.. rather than objectively looking at the issue it's my "blinkers"
So what's the point of posting here? If pointing out the Tories are shiiiit and pushing an agenda that punishes the less fortunate is unwelcome then you have just usurped the title of the old thread and created the right wing safe space that was being persued by the continual chasing off of non-right views.
I agree tbab has probably had the most abuse on the thread but I don't agree it was bad when he was the "sole right wing voice" it was because he had a habit of mass posting while drunk, being abusive and offered me out for a fightThat's calmed down now, we can get on, but he's got to own his part for the most part the old thread was pretty harmonious untill a tipping point.

Without playing he said she said and going round in circles, people left for various reason from all sides and Hawk was not bullied out, but took a break, for example.
Other guys from both left, right and centre leave for a while or because they get fed up with abuse and personal stuff, but it is not a right or left wing cabal trying to bully folk away, imo.
I have posted while drinking and hold my hands up to actually enjoying the fighting nature here at times, especially if people abuse me or beliefs or community....
There were times I was the only leaver, loyalist, Christian, non Corbyn voice here, or at least I was on challenging those putting down people who make up half the voting public, but had no voice here....and it did get abusive and hostile.
People I thought were sound could then turn and that does my head in, being naive and trying to see good on posters, who then backstab you...that led to me losing my cool at times.
At the same time as fighting here, I could be having a laugh elsewhere or trying to cheer someone up who is depressed, so like all humans, we can be good and bad at the same time, and a flick of the switch in guys like me can be turned on and off in seconds, but damage can be done and it's too late.
I am waffling now, but there are no totally innocent or totally guilty parties here, imo..and a sneaky put down or snide remark can often be as nasty and damaging as a full scale row.
We just need to respect each other and listen more, rather than try to put each other down or wind posters up.
I own my red mist, posting on the sauce, not backing down, standing up for what I am and what I believe in or just foolishly NOT leaving the thread years ago.
If we look for the bad in others it is easy to find, so try to look for the good and walk in their shoes, even for one day here.

Yes they have, typically you don't want to own your part in Rossos or daves departure, just as you don't want to own your part yesterday in a 6 year old thread being deleted because you wanted to repeatedly call Dave a paedo.
Three pages of Dave and NPE arguing and not one deleted, you post your accusations once, gets deleted, you laugh about it, try again, admin deletes the post then the whole thread.
Own it ffs.. the right wing posters here tried three times to create their own version of the politics thread and it died every time, so you decided to ruin the one that had operated largely peacefully for 4 years.
Tbab is only top of the list because he was active for 6 years, and by his own admission more than gave what he got, and as he has posted for was largely responsible due to his "demons" which I personally think he is coping with incredibly well of late. Not a fan of the ‘gender equality’ orders personally. Have no issue with people having equal rights but when that means changing the rest of the populace for a minority the I disagree.
Women’s sports is essentially done if biological trans men are now allowed to compete with women. I can’t think of a single sport where biological men aren’t superior to women.
