I think he’s gone beyond that, he’s defo disabled

Again classy.

I don't agree with many on here so I must be disabled.

Do you want this forum just to be an echo chamber?

What alot of folk on here hate is that I've been right about Keir all along hence the diversion attempts and childish insults.

Shut up, Prawn Balls.

The charges and the verdicts

To sum up what we just heard in court, it's a mix of guilty and not guilty verdicts:

Racketeering conspiracy: not guilty

Seeex trafficking of Cassie Ventura: not guilty

Transportation for prostitution of Ventura and others: guilty

Seeex trafficking of woman known as "Jane": not guilty

Transportation for prostitution of "Jane" and others: guilty

Oh wow
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So not guilty of trafficking Jane and Ventura but guilty of transporting them?

Traffic and transport don't go hand in hand then?

NEW: Bloomberg @economics says the UK faces a £20 billion fiscal black hole

“We think the govt will miss its goals by around £20 billion in 2029-30”

Mainly due to growth downgrades

“it appears to be a question of when, not if, taxes will need to rise again” says @DanHanson41

And the OBR suggest they’ve over played by £100bn the costs of this government.

This while borrowing and gilts have shot up so much in the one day since yesterday’s debacle that was only “bettered” by Truss.

Meanwhile Astra Zeneca wish to delist from the UK and head to the States.

Yes; it’s all going swimmingly.

I don't see much evidence of that. Can't slash even a tiny portion of runaway levels of welfare spending, can't tackle the small boats problem, half the stock exchange wants to leave UK PLC, and the fallout continues from his surrendering British territory to a Chinese satellite state. Just a few examples springing to mind.

But I agree with you on one thing - Reform offer no solutions. Also a joke party.

Can you provide a single metric where this is proven to be true?

Rise in bond yields at same time as currency fall definitely a concern, but in context Mini Budget parallels are again rather overblown…

Gilt yield spiked because markets thought Chancellor might be going - a sign that she still retains market credibility on borrowing. Not the situation in 2022.

Mini budget 10Y spike vs today below about a tenth of the move then.

Currency move is 1% down - notable but not 5-6% fall to all time lows.

Size of u-turn is £6bn vs £45bn

Amount of borrowing

Tax levels.

Debt

Three simple ones right away without even thinking about it.

Yep, just additional obvious ones: welfare reform, crime, immigration, stopping the boats, foreign investment levels, education, international reputation... I mean list is endless.

As I explained yesterday. Its not the size of the u-turn but more about the fact it was necessary. Markets know a weak government when they see it despite a proper majority. Labour MPs should be forced into a 7 day course in economics. They really are very ignorant by conflating OAP as a voting block which is extremely powerful with welfare dependents which are not.

The leadership aren't very good at communication which is a big part of their job, there's no argument from me there, thats his big failing, but it's pretty obvious theyre trying to get to grips with the catastrophic economy he inherited as opposed to the cowardly tories that ran a mile from thentough calls, Starmer just isn't very good at bringing people with him.

Hey-ho, 4 years to go, we'll see where we are. I think we'll be better off then than 12 months ago where our standard of living fell for the first time ever under the last populist Tory leadership.

Hmmm

Taxation was actually very slightly higher last year but will grow consecutively for the next 5 years, and that’s a before we get any likely additional tax increases in the autumn.

Debt is at its highest since 1962. And it’s growing.

Cost of borrowing is the highest since 1998 and after yesterday is expected to soar.

It’s all there
