To be honest I'm not good at predicting fights but after watching Eubank a few times and from what I know about how he trains or doesn't train, I knew his skills were having a good engine and the uppercut. That's about it really. He doesnt even have a trainer
That's a cardinal sin at world level.

Jr is delusional. He's also a little boy living in daddies shadow, this entire circus is about proving himself to Dad. Pundit was spot on "he is a know it all", yet he knows f all, he will never listen, he has zero self awareness because he is a scared little boy unhappy in him self.

Anyway on to Naz.....was he coked up?

I hope groves shoulder injury heals and will be fit and ready for the final on approximately on June 2nd 2018.

He derves to be given that chance to make it and believe he w=ill.

however IF he is not fit for the tournament final - does that mean eubank junior will go to the final?

as for eubank jnr needing a proper trainer - my advice would be to make virgil hunter his trainer.

The worrying element about this for Eubank Jr is that he’s not much younger or less experienced than Groves, yet there was a clear gulf in boxing knowledge and ability between the two of them. It’s as though he’s learned very little in his previous fights, it makes you wonder how much of his career has been wasted.

huge difference in being a brawler and a boxer.

thats wy bjs and gg were able to win eubank jnr.

however after giving a stone in weight last nite - no one can question eubank jnr heart and chin.

eubank jnr needs to put on more mass of hes gonna continue at super middle.

otherwise he is best off back down in middle.

i hope eubank jnr can stay low and re-assess and come back stronger.

hes definitely still one for the future but time is running out for him

whatever has happened in the behind the scene politics side of boxing with promoters etc we will never know the truth because there are always 2 sides.

eubank jnr just needs to focus more on his boxing skill, use the jab and the feet not just amazing combos and uppercuts etc.

His father is almost like a yes man in his corner and Jr has beaten lower level guys through sheer ferocity and volume. When he has been asked to step up, he has fallen short.

I think it's an apparent case of Senior pumping Jr's ego up from a young age and that approach has created a fighter who has a false perception of what he can do in the boxing ring. Jr may have mental toughness and heart but that doesn't mean much at the world level because they all have it.

A fundamental vicissitude must take place in both Jr's boxing career and his personal life.

Even in the post fight press conference he came across as bitter when he suggested that Groves was head butting him and Groves only landed a few jabs all night. Funnily enough, he also went onto to claim that Groves size was a problem yet he wants to continue campaigning at this weight class?

Middleweight is a shark tank at the moment but I think he can still get big fights against the lower level guys there, like Lemeiux,Willie Munroe Jr etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes his comments were very odd. They all claim they thought they won but he was swinging wildly from the 9th onwards as though he knew he needed to pull something out of the bag.

He knew full well Groves would come in much heavier, Groves is big at the weight, bigger than a few of the light heavyweights out there I suspect whereas Jr is probably a standard sized middleweight who wouldn’t even need to cut for fights at this weight. That weight differential was even more reason to try and use his speed advantage - one that wasn’t as pronounced as I thought it would be - and use the jab to set up the chance for him to come in close and work him with combos.

It’s not the end of the road for him, but he needs to go away and lick his wounds and spend the next 4-6 months working on himself and his future. Hopefully this defeat will be a humbling experience for him.

dont wanna say told ye so.... but .....glad the fight went the way I had it panned. Eubank got billie joe'd. Blueprint was written and replicated by Groves only more effectively due to his size difference. Just think how much Golovkin woulda done to him. Eubank coulda been hurt against GGG cos he has a great chin and would take sever punishment. Hard to see where Eubank goes now. He would prob maul Traux but wont get that fight just now and I dont see Traux holding that belt for long.

Read that eubank threw around 68 jabs if memory serves. In the whole fight. Just over 5 a round. Was wildly swinging the whole fight.
