Read that eubank threw around 68 jabs if memory serves. In the whole fight. Just over 5 a round. Was wildly swinging the whole fight.

Eubank has problems with his elbows (mainly his right elbow) he has had treatment for years for hyper extension problems meaning throwing hard straight punches is a problem for him. Its why he throws so many hooks and uppercuts.

Couple that with poor footwork means very little straight shots thrown let alone landed

Eubank needs to keep his head down and find a proper coaching team instead of showing of skills on instagram

I think anyone with better fundamentals and good feet thats not hugely smaller than Eubank does exactly what BJS and Groves have now done.

At his age he wont improve that much now. He is 28 and will be coming into his peak. His lack of Amateur background is showing at the top level.

What was weird was before hand eubank being favourite and being seen as a younger more energetic guy.

Groves is only a year older.

Something similar gets said about a potential fury v joshua match, They are near enough the same age.

The question that needs to be asked is whether or not he recognises where he has fallen short.

Well if he’s still under the impression that the only reason Groves won was because of his size then it’s highly unlikely. Yes it helped, but ultimately Groves won the fight due to boxing intelligence and craft, as I assume was the case in the BJS fight (I’ve not seen it). Groves isn’t a big puncher at this weight and his hand speed will be the first thing to go. Essentially makes him a write-off at this weight, at least at elite level.

i know he's only fought domestic guys but didnt Jr say groves hit him with the most power he's ever felt?

Groves is a big puncher, especially in the first 4 or so rounds. he has a very dangerous straight right. Jnr was hurt in the fight but showed very good whiskers, a few of those punches woulda had a lot of SMW's On shoogly legs

Smith to fight a replacement after Braehmer pulled out due to an infection.

Nicky Holzken will step in.

Smith has had a tough time the last 18 months and been racked about a good bit.
