Happy with this signing, he's still got good pace and his energy levels are great. Its a 1 year contract ffs if he flops we can just let him go unlike Squallachi and Silverstre who stayed a few seasons with us.
Gonna be tough to make a good chant for him, or write his name on here when we want to slate him. Do we call him Lichy?
Has anyone here watched Lichsteiner play regularly in recent seasons? Have his performance levels declined noticeably? Is he still physically in peak condition? He's been off my radar for about 8 years, the last I remember of him was an energetic attacking wingback.
When he plays he still is energetic, still gets up and down the flank. Still is pacy.
In the last 2 or 3 seasons he has only played about 30 games a season, so gets a lot of rest. Not missed many through injury.
Sounds good. We've needed decent backup to Bellerin for yonks

Lichtsteiner is a smoke screen. His brother is Dembele agent.
Welcome to Arsenal Ousmane

Been talking to J99, Frenchie? That is the sort of thing he comes out with

So you think signing a 34 year old who has never played in the premier league is for playing reasons? Naive beyond belief.

To be honest this transfer only makes sense if you assume that it is to establish a back channel to his brother's clients.

Still smarting for being completely wrong on Wenger's departure?
