to be fair Ghana were robbed in 2010 by Uruguay with the handball on the line. if it wasn't for that they would have been in the semifinal.

Now I was only 9 and I much remember the irish 94 side, I think everyone round Liverpool Went irish for that World Cup.

Morocco have a chance if Spain wins against Portugal and Morocco win against Iran.

Two very likely results.

Morocco would then only need to draw against Portugal in their second game, possible but less likely.

If any team is ever going to have a surprise run then this would be the tournament to do it.

There's a lot of good teams but no standout sides. If it all comes together for an african side like it did for Greece then you never know

The only team I can see maybe going far in my opinion is Senegal, just because they've got an open group. But I still don't think they'll go much further than the Last 16 depending on who they get.

Nigeria maybe have half a chance if they can upset Croatia, but that's as likely as it is unlikely for me. Morocco have a half decent side, just a shame of their group. Egypt might if Russia/Ururguay fail to perform, but I doubt it as well. There's a possibility that Senegal, Nigeria and Egypt could do it, but I can't see all 3 of them, maybe just 1.

Even then though, the likelihood of one of them going through is probably the same as none of them as well.

Italia 90 was tedious. Lowest goals per game of any World Cup. Add in Denmark’s time wasting shenanigans in 92 and they had to do away with letting the goalie pick up back passes to try and get some excitement back into the game.

We did well init, it had a great clock!

Ghana were completely robbed to say otherwise is daft. I don’t think any of them will get to the quarters but if the do it will be Egypt

I disagree. Yes they were wronged by Suarez, however as per the rules of the game he was sent off and they got a penalty out of it.

What Suarez did was wrong, but he was punished and Ghana got another chance to win the game.

If he had gotten away with his act completely, then yes I would say they were robbed too.
