but hengy seriously though would you start grealish in the first 11 if he signs..?

im not saying we shouldnt sign him because he wouldnt get in the starting team
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not in our strongest 11 but let’s see how he gets on. He’s a very talented player.

Tbh there’s not many we could buy that goes straight into our first 11

Will he be as good if he rolls his socks up?

Cant we just keep the 30mln and use it to make a lumpy offer to get Kovacic done... He's 10 times the player and exactly what we need.... Sell our deadwood late in the window when crappy teams are scrambling and promote some younger players to fulfill the home grown quota. Sometimes it feels like we are standing still.... Can Levy PLEASE start acting like a proper CL, Top 4 club with a big F*ck off stadium, Internationals galore... yet sometimes he acts like the D1ldo brothers, scraping the barrel at the end of window for someone else's sloppy seconds on the cheap.!!!!!!..... Sadly this year its them acting like they know what they are doing.... normal service Im sure will be resumed BUT come on Levy, everyone on the planet (ex Sandy) knows this squad will be hard pressed to improve on last year..... get a facking wriggle on

Think Grealish would be a good signing for 20-25m pounds

No idea why this appears to be our number one priority though.

Kovacic Would be a dream signing and I mean that in all sense of the word dream.

His value apparently is £80m with a buyout of £200m so it’s not going to happen at all.

We signed Alli for Peanuts from MK and looked how he has performed. Plain dumb to feel Grealish couldn't do the same.
Personally , feel if he did come in Alli will have some competition. From the little I have seen Grealish is better technically and Alli should be worried if this move did happen.

this is the problem some fans have is that we would never brave it and bid £80mill for him. so basically we will never improve on how we are currently.

grealish and kovacic thats 110mill and should leave every fan satisfied with the window, assuming no first teamers leave. (Toby, Rose, Dembele for e.g.)

Not while we are building a billion pound stadium we won’t unless it’s supplement by selling some for big money.

That’s why taking punts on players like Grealish who is a good player and trying to make them a great player.

Sissoko,Nkoudou and llorente leaving would be good. Levy will probably want a kings ransom for them

Dele Alli was getting 10+ goals 4 years ago. Grealish got 5 last season. Big difference in potential.

That's besides the point anyway.. signing another Dele Alli isn't going to take us to that next level. He is inconsistent at times as it is and we need a bonafide deep lying playmaker.

Also, Lamela >>> Grealish

I wouldn't find that a great window tbh.

Grealish is a non-starter.

Kovacic would be fantastic.

Would still be serious deficient in striker position.

It'd be an improvement but nothing on the scales of competing for the league.

True but we need to increase the English quota. Personally and this will probably go down like a lead balloon but I would go for someone like Lallana. Thinks highly of Poch and doubt he will get many games at Pool. Think he would jump at the chance.

We play 1 striker - Kane (Son back up)
even with Lamela, Moura and Dele we have variety up front. We are not going to get a forward of quality to sit on the bench every game. Martial would be a bonus but that is another shiiiit ton of money that should be spent on a CM.

i dont think challenging for the title is realistic when you look at how dealings etc are going this summer. New stadium and no funds.

City have a wealth of talent and are looking to sign a CM themselves, so....Gundogan?

one thing i cant say we've done is snap up players from clubs above us in the league who are surplus or want out but have quality.

problem being us being up there ourselves in the table clubs will be reluctant to sell to us as a rival..but we cant afford not to offload our key players to City and United for example.

They have a ageing midfield.

Fernandinho and D Silva won’t be around much longer

I am generally not one for Levy bashing and am usually patient with these things, but I'm finding the lack of transfer activity quite alarming now.

If we keep Toby and Rose we don't need much but as it stands we do need to make a couple of significant signings.

also, i think people misinterpreted poch when he said being brave in the market. Think he meant signing young players from lower down the pecking order and turning them into better players. He seems to be looking to give some of the young players a chance to walk through the door too and im not too clued up on many of them. this isnt going to win us a trophy that is long overdue that is the trouble.

We don't really know what he meant. He could have meant dont sign any players and promote fro within.
