On the surface there’s not a lot wrong with that statement. Ticket prices are steep. But to me it does smack of one big whinge from THST, basically a moan that we haven’t got any shiny new toys.
Our squad was good last year, nobody’s left so it’s good this year. The fans HAVE to get behind the team for the start of the season, it’s so important to establish New WHL as a fortress and not a library of grumbling.

5* from me.
We are entitled to an explanation but we won't get one.
I just hope that now we have managed to keep Toby and Rose that they will actually play regularly this season.
Keeping our key players is the one upside to this transfer window.
We MUST now sign Eriksen, Alli AND Toby to new contracts.

I was hoping to hear from them and I'm not let down by their statement.

Good is not winning anything and finishing 30 points behind league winners? As some have said, if you're happy with top four and no serious trophy challenge then yes we're "good". Players are going to leave if we don't show ambition by improving areas of weakness.
Hopefully we will still hang on to Toby, don’t forget that the window is still open in places like Spain, Italy and Germany. They can still buy from us

That's another issue with the whole not signing anyone. We want to endear Eriksen to signing a new contract when we've shown no ambition in the transfer window to help convince him.

Currently I am happy with top 4, yes. While Man City continue to ruin football by spending £30-60m on literally every member of their squad (honestly, look up their squad’s transfer fees), a title challenge is a pipe dream. Sorry, but at the moment it’s true, nobody’s getting near them.
That doesn’t mean we should give up. But spending money on players for the sake of it, players who won’t improve our first XI, will do nothing except set us back financially and create deadwood to flog in 12-24 months.
Most fans would’ve been content with Grealish for £25m and a random CM from Europe for £30m. But as we saw with Sissoko, you have to be sure you let improving the side before spending. Extending Kane, Son and Poch was great early business and I’m happy with the squad going forward. I’ll back them with all I’ve got from my seat at the new stadium.

I think Eriksen has already refused to sign a new contract.
To be honest I am ashamed to be associated with a lot of the Spurs fans that just whine, whine, whine all the time. I have supported Spurs for 60 plus years, and I have to say some of our supporters are just about the worse supporters going.
You would think Spurs were playing Conference footie, the way some of them moan.
Spurs have a brilliant squad, brand new Stadium, CL football, yet our supporters are still whining and throwing their toys out of the pram like little girls. FFS some of you need to get a grip.

The cheese room may help persuade him to stay.
To believe that there are no players available that could improve us is so naive. I could think of 20 affordable strikers that are better than Llorente.
There are players like Brozovic who would have improved us if we'd met his release clause. The issue is not availability or price tag always but our reluctance to spend but on the other hand expecting clubs to pay a premium for our players.
Fantastic statement and to right. We do deserve an explanation.
Sandy, sorry mate but Spurs ain't won nothing. So why should I be so grateful ? For what , a few CL finishes in my lifetime ? As a club we should be achieving a lot more than 2 measly league cups in 20 years

We could have got Shiqiri and he'd have been an improvement on N'Koudou, and how much did Liverpool spend on him? Under £10m.
This is such a fun time to support Spurs. Regular CL footy, new stadium, England captain and best striker in the league up front, etc etc.
If you moan and whinge now, isn’t there a good chance you’ll look back and wish you’d just enjoyed the ride?
Sort of makes sense in my head to just look on the bright side and enjoy the exciting times now rather than worry about players staying in the future and so on. Maybe I’m crazy, seems most have a completely different outlook on Spurs

When the season kicks off we'll all be on the same boat and enjoying the game but some realise the long term impact nonsense like this transfer window can have...
It's not that we think the team isn't brilliant or we don't enjoy watching and supporting our team and where we are but about taking advantage of this opportunity to push for a tangible reward, a trophy.

Good statement.
If the stadium is causing major restrictions then we deserve to know
If Levy thought that there’s a way to sign players without making bids he needs his head examined.
If Poch thinks that only our players will improve while everyone else’s stagnates or regresses, he need his head examined.
If our scouts can’t find players to improve our squad then they all need sacking.
