Satc is one of the most successful tv shows of all time that spawned two successful films. It did huge things for the tv industry in terms of pushing the box set era were currently in.

That's not the point you're trying to prove though, is it? Popularity of a movie has nothing to do with the profile of the actors in it. Frozen was a phenomenally popular movie, way more popular than... I dunno, Kramer vs Kramer. But I don't think anyone would say that Idina Menzel has a higher profile than Meryl Streep.
