Jiminez has been superb in the opening three games. Scored in the first, unlucky to hit the post in the second, scored today but was a few inches offside. If only we had a striker that looked like scoring

Ipswich bottom of the Championship as it stands. Who'd have thunk it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When McCarthy left us we went backwards to League One and I did go onto an Ipswich board to say careful what you wish for last season. He certainly over achieved there with the resources he had and that may well show in the next year or two
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've just looked at their forum. There's actually a thread entitled "Careful What You Wish For".
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Can't believe those numpties wanted more than hoofball when clubs with tiny budgets like them were surpassing them. #sillysausages
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes but they're back where they were when Mick took over, although not quite so adrift. They had a manager who has won the division on numerous occasions, and ditched him. They are now back to Paul Jewell level. I sincerely hope they drop to Division 1 now. Mick's work was all in vain. They should suffer for it.

Start of the season I said to my mate that I think Ipswich will go down to which I was told I was talking nonsense. I hope that is the case and obviously very early days but looking at their squad and that they brought in League one players in the summer it will be a tough season for them.

I understand they may have been fed up with Merlin but that fella works wonders on a budget and Ipswich's is thinner than a shoestring. I find it impressive that Ipswich have been a mainstay in the Prem/Champ as long as they have as no disrespect to them but the place itself is a bit off the beaten track(tor boys). If they were to go down would they make it back up?

Big day today fella, Ipswich are bottom of the championship now and a few other things happened as well but forget what.

Why on earth are we even mentioning a particular club in the Championship? Oh wait, we still have our poster from an island up North.

Ipswich and Wolves have very strong ties!

What a pleasure to go to Molineux and be in a packed crowd with great atmosphere and watch exciting football, a lot of it played by us! Long may it continue.
I agree with Spangles, I like Jiminez I think we can fizz the ball up to him if we need to and it will usually stick, City had so many free kicks around the box some must have been bought, well played Wolves and delighted to have got a ticket to West Ham

It is great to be a Wolves fan at the moment yes. Full house every game and a great atmosphere and Wolves able to mix it with the best teams in the country. And now starts a very important period of the season with games coming up against West Ham, Burnley and Southampton. Established top flight teams but the type we want to be beating. Looking for a couple of wins in September to turn our promising start to the season into one where a top half finish looks achievable

yesterday was excellent. feeling it a bit this morning tho!

impressed by the new signings so far and some big performances v city from last year's heroes too.

as above, we just need a couple of wins now to shift what has been a very promising start into a good start. let's hope west ham continue to be as generous in defence as they have been so far this season.

Trying to find the clip but was it Vinagre that gave walker the slip to get the cross in ?

If so, then he must hate Vinagar boy after he put him on his azz last time

One thing I would be critical of with Wolves tactics is the zonal marking we adopt to defend dead ball situations. The goal was a good example because Laporte had a long run at the cross and got the height to beat the Wolves defenders who were trying to jump from a static position

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s actually missed a few easy chances in the box. Looking at his stats he doesn’t look to be a 20 goals a season striker maybe more one that holds up the play and is technically good, perhaps a good header of the ball etc

He skied one from about 2 yards out against Leicester, I think jota missed a good chance today as well. You need someone clinical in those situations - a younger Defoe if you like! That’s all I’m saying - it’s hardly a major criticism

Have you ordered your Wolves shirt yet ?

I've never been a fan of zonal marking and many teams are vulnerable when using the system. We almost conceded another goal when Neves was marking Kompany around the penalty spot and when the ball was delivered from a corner, Kompany ran on to head the ball, Neves never moved and Boly hardly got off the ground to challenge him. Good job it went over the bar.

So I wish Nuno would dispense with zonal marking. Maybe after he sees the videos of the game he'll change.

Giving away so many cheap fks around the box was the bigger issue, Jota in particular gave away three needless ones I believe.
