Robertson wasn't exactly brilliant either...
Liverpool’s full backs got caught out again and again with the cut through pass. We were asking to concede.

Best thing about our season so far is Alisson. He has been brilliant aside of the one fack up...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree. He is a very good keeper
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He got a finger on that Mertens effort which hit the bar
Robertson has been caught out a fair few times. Luiz played a diagonal to Willian which got him last game and today he let Callejon go past him for the goal.
Really felt we needed to push further up and actually press them like we usually do, our centre backs are as fast as they come, they should never have been that deep
The only two who deserve credit today is Alisson who was fantastic and Gomez. A point after that performance would have been a very good point but that goal has really hurt us. Oh well, upwards and onwards.

City is probably the ideal game in that regard to get that spark. However it could also go very badly wrong should City do a number on us (they are due one after all!)

Losing away to.Napoli is no great shock and it was always going to be a tough group. Nothing to say we won't be top of the group by the end of the next set of games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah, sorry, theres a lot more to be said about that performance beyond, oh well, it was going to be tough, and these things happen.
Maybe when 1 or 2 or even 3 players play badly, you can explain it away.
When its 7 or 8 playing so bably below par, it raises far more questions for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think we're just coming to the end of a very intense run and I also think the City game is bigger.
I don't find it particularly puzzling that we look off the pace after playing Spurs, Chelsea and Napoli away with PSG and Chelsea thrown in on top plus a good win vs Southampton in the space of 18 days or whatever it is.

Different ball game at Anfield. Not too concerned about City. Extra day to prepare too with it being late on Sunday. Hopefully players will have got a rocket from Klopp.
So, this makes the Man C game an absolute must-win for a number of reasons.
Salah needs to take a breath, relax and get beyond the pressure he’s put himself under.
Alisson and Gomez were good tonight. Van Dijk was in 1st half.
Midfield were rubbish. Klopp needs to think of changing formation and tactics. Start with dropping Henderson. Play Shaqiri as no.10. Milner in place of Henderson just in front of defence.
We've not really got going all season but atleast we've created chances up until tonight that was. Shocking, Salahs just getting worse .
http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/397198
We can afford a loss. My only concern is how it will effect the game on sunday. At times I felt the players were saving energy for the City game.
It was so sloppy and the fullbacks didn't look that interested in bombing forward to supply thr front three. I thought Keita wasn't super before he had to come off, hope he's ok. Hendo gave the team a short impuls when he came on but faded.
It has been some time since we saw a poor Liverpool side and also lose the game. It was deserved and the players will hopefully bounce back from this.
Have to bear in mind too we didn't really get going last year until mid October/November too. Difference this year we have points on the board.
I think this season we have really sacrificed attacking threat for more solidity at the back and in the middle. This is pretty evident with Hendo, Gini and Milner as a midfield which is as solid as it gets without having much creativity. Ox was the link last season which left us open at times but helped support the trident up top. Keita so far hasn't clicked and his injury makes his debut season more frustrating so far.
However it's how you end the season, not how you are 10 odd games in. Klopp's subs really get on my tiiits though. Why wait 76 minutes until making a change when things are obviously not working. Very Rafa-esque.
